What do you do with "old" jerseys??
 

Like, if a player gets traded, loses his number, etc??

I don't really have that problem cause all my old Saints jerseys got lost in Katrina.. But, we did burn my brother's Aarron Brooks jersey the day following the '06 season (when we made the playoffs)..

This was kind of discussed with all the Cutler shit that happened this year..

So, do you keep your old jerseys, destroy them, etc??

<font color=goldenrod>I keep 'em but mainly just for novelty. I have a Shockey (worn out) and a Barber (not worn out) that I rarely wear anymore (I got Barber's literally a week before he announced he was retiring at year's end). Just feels weird wearing a jersey for someone not there anymore.

Once Shockey got dealt I needed a new one so I got a Justin Tuck, thankfully that one should last me awhile.

As for MLB player shirts, same thing...really just wear current players. I have a blue Wright, black Beltran, and orange Martinez...but once Pedro left I got a new orange Santana one. Hopefully when Fernando Martinez gets called up they give him #45.</font> :shifty:

I don't really wear jerseys but I have a Lastings Milledge shirt from when he was on the Mets and I wear it all the time because I think it is hilarious.

I have a Shockey, Barber (circa 2004 or so before they switched their aways), Manning, Strahan and Burress.

I think I got rid of the Shockey jersey. Strahan one wasn't authentic so I ditched that too.

Don't really wear any jerseys anymore.

I also have an authentic 1986 Lawrence Taylor home jersey.

I keep my shit. Paid too much to toss these out just cuz the dude's on a different team or his number changed or the team colours changed or whatever. I still have KG jersey from when he was on the Timberwolves.

I sell them to vintage shops."One persons junk, is another man's treasure and all that. Not for much, but whilst there I see what classic bargains I can get from there. I got two of my fave tees from there:

England 1982 footy top (which I still have) and an Atlanta Flames top, which my dad had after I lost some weight and it buried me.

I don't really wear jerseys much but I do have a few guys that aren't on the Patriots anymore. They are just sitting in my closet back home right now. I am waiting for Willie McGinest to retire so I can bust that bad bitch out again.

I keep them in the drawer with my current ones... where them on occasion, but normally use them for chicks who are spending the night.... dunno why... chicks in a football jersey do it for me... better then wearing one of my dress shirts...

But then common sense hit me and it's probly a really fat chick who complains the jersey is too tight.

Old jerseys usually get framed and hung on the wall, as i usualy am able to track player down and get them to sign them.

I don't have that problem with hockey jerseys. None of my jerseys have numbers on them.

I usually just leave them in the drawer. I'm gonna have to find what I did with my old orange Elway and TD jersey's (got the TD right before they switched to the blue) I took them out and put them somewhere, but not sure where. Still have my Plummer jersey though.

No use getting a Broncos jersey with the current team administration, anybody could be gone at any moment. Was gonna get Hillis, but I'd hate to see him traded midgame or something. :lol:

Yeah they are. The Elway is very faded and the numbers are startng to come off the front from me wearing it so much through high school, but the TD one still has the shine like it's new. I almost got a Cutler one at Christmas since I couldn't find Hillis in anything other than the white. Lucky I held off on that. :lol:

The only jersey I have ever had the desire to buy was two years ago when "Fast" Willie Parker started getting playing time with the Steelers. I now have home and away practice jerseys so my wife and I can wear them simultaneously (Our last name is also Parker - which was the only reason I wanted them in the first place). We also have a jersey for my 16-month old son. We keep running out of time to get to a place and have a family portrait made in the jerseys.

I have 2 Chad Pennington Jets jerseys :heart:. As well as a WAYNE Chrebet and a Bretty Favre :o And some Harlem Globetrotter jersey.

I would never buy a jersey I don't think, and all of those were bought for me. I never wear any of them. I was pretty disgusted actually upon receiving the Favre jersey for Christmas. I never wear any of them except when I go to Jets games I wear the Chrebet over a sweatshirt.

Might buy a Kerry Rhodes New York Titans uni actually. Jets are coming out with white road Titans uniforms this year, have to see how that looks. Those blue/gold are horrendous. Really just rambling about nothing right now
