bret hart's health status ?

i know it may sound morbid and i certainly wish no harm to bret but what is his status in terms of how fragile is he? I mean would he die if he fell hard?can he sustain takng a bump of the apron through a table?would he be able to take hbk out in a real fight?

Xero 05-02-2009 05:51 PM

Anyone could die if they fell on their skull hard enough. Bret isn't about to taking any more risks with bumping on anything.

He'd probably still kill Michaels though.

Funky Fly 05-02-2009 07:20 PM

I don't doubt it. Bret's known for being good in a fight and Shawn's known for instigating and subsequently losing them.

The MAC 05-03-2009 09:00 AM

yea, I just wonder whether a drop from the second rope will kill him.

As for michaels, I would love to see Bret kick his ass.

James Steele 05-03-2009 09:04 AM

I would love to see these two awesome performers be able to put the past behind them and move forward with their lives and careers as both men seem to have so much to offer to future generations with their new found perspective on things.

James Steele 05-03-2009 09:05 AM

Also, LOL at you marks thinking a man who has been through all the shit Bret has been through could still kick Shawn Michaels' ass in 2009.

Zeeboe 05-03-2009 09:12 AM

Why would they fight in the first place?

James Steele 05-03-2009 09:16 AM

Bret is still upset about "the controversial ending" to the Survivor Series 1997 main event...and all the Hart-marks still think it is 1997. I thought after Bret's speech at his HoF induction, everything would just kind of fizzle out...but ironically, Hart-marks won't let it die.

Because Bret solves his problems with violence, duh. That's what makes him such a good role model.

Zeeboe 05-03-2009 10:02 AM

I really doubt that Bret would shoot fight Shawn. I mean, he already did. ;) Why do it again?

He doesn't want to look like an idiot again when Shawn takes a dive, just like he did years ago and Vince did that splendid November night.

Oh, come on! Give Bret a little more credit then that. There were no dives. I mean really, if those guys took a dive then so did Goldberg when Y2J whipped his ass.

I think it is common knowledge that Vince McMahon let Bret punch him in the face, and last I checked, Shawn didn't want to get fired over hurting one of WWF's top stars (and a guy he did great business with).

I know about the Vince thing, and who could really whip who's ass in a real fight can forever be debated......although I doubt a 52-year old man could have beaten a guy who was trained by a straight shooter.

As for Shawn.....dude, that honestly sounds like the type of thing a pussy would say for why he didn't fight. Sorry. That's litreally a chicken shit excuse. I mean really, I don't give a fuck who you are. You try and hurt me, I'm gonna defend myself. Or at least try to restrain the guy! Most men with balls would say the same thing.

I remember Shawn took his ball and went home like a baby for a few weeks too after Bret beat his ass. Talk about being a sissy.

The One 05-03-2009 06:52 PM

............Bret had a horrific career ending cuncussion, a motorcycle accident, a stroke, and if you've seen him lately you'd know he's in god awful physical shape...

Shawn Michaels is clean, still going strong, and is in incredible shape (especially considering his age).

Now, I know that fighting 9 times out of 10 comes down to ability over physicality, but people, Bret isn't in much shape to fight a middle school kid anymore. Life's been a bit more rough on him than most. To suggest he still has the capability to take down Michaels in a legit shoot is a level of blindness to the facts. I'll go so far as to fully admit, in the 90's, there is little doubt that Bret would have won if the two had a chance to all out go...but to suggest that's still the case is downright stupid.

The MAC 05-04-2009 10:15 AM

So is Bret frail and easily injured or has he healed over time?

Bullshit. And why did Shawn lie to Bret at the SS and say he knew nothing about the screwjob? It's cause he was scared Bret was gonna whip his ass again.

Xero 05-04-2009 04:38 PM

He did it for the cameras.

:shifty:

McLegend 05-04-2009 05:18 PM

It was a bicycle accident.

Mr. JL 05-04-2009 07:21 PM

Given his medical history, it would not be safe for Bret to bump around in the ring.

His doctors probably don't know how his body and brain would handle it so its best just to stay the away from the ring.

The MAC 05-05-2009 04:20 AM

We know an angle would Bret Shawn and vince will most likely never happen though if it did do you think he would withstand coming into the ring trading blows with vince /shawn then slapping the Sharpshooter on wither of them.

Personally I would give my left nut to see this. I would cut it out and mail it to titan towers.

Hey Vince, offer Bret $3 million.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-05-2009 11:30 AM

I'd rather he didn't have another stroke. He'd probably like it that way too.

However I remember he was on OTR a few years back after the stroke, on his road to recovery, he said he was benchpressing 280 pounds again... pretty fucking good for a victim of a major stroke.

lol at saying that about any wrestler. Surely they are all bad role models in kayfabe terms?

Maybe TNA could book an angle where say Foley and Jarrett sit down and discuss their issues and agree to kiss and make up at the end, rather than ending it in a match?
