I remember this. I gotta assume it was gonna end with Eddie betraying them but I don't know. Was fun though, for a little while Team Extreme consisted of Matt, Jeff, Lita and Eddie :D

Yeh, they cancelled the angle halfway through to send him to rehab.

He was doing the "build their trust" thing, and it was supposed to be that Eddie would sleep with Lita and stab them in the back.

That's the impression I got. Basically Matt Hardy stepped in front of Raven to get a shot at the European Title which Eddie Guerrero had won from Test at WrestleMania X-7, so Eddie started trying to hang around with The Hardy Boyz, while they were sort of like "What the fuck are you up to, dude? We don't like you."

Eddie actually started to show some valour, and even took a Gore for Lita once, which was actually really cool. But then the angle was dropped. I always assumed that it was a plan by Eddie to bang Lita, fuck with Matt's head, and then win the European Title back.

I think The Radicalz were still officially sort of together at this point, although I think Eddie may have turned on them to join Team Extreme? I could have seen it leading to Eddie teaming up with one of them to have a few tag matches with The Hardys, too.

Basically I think it was one of those Attitude era angles to just try and get people to care about the mid-card by actually having them do something and trading a belt back and forth.
