Dose Cody have the chrisma to be a single compeditor?

So after watching RAW I watched some old Royal Rumble DVD's and I was wondering, both Dusty and Dustin are very charismatic, dose Cody have any of that? I mean Dustin dosent even really need his father's name (I'm sure that's probibly why he is allowed to come back as many times as he has) to be over, but Cody hasnt even shown the energy, catchy phrases his father has. What do you think could Cody be a main eventer?

Theo Dious 05-12-2009 10:15 PM

Did Dustin ever show much charisma without being Goldust though? Maybe Cody just needs to find his place.

Xero 05-12-2009 10:18 PM

CAWdy, a video game gimmick.

He's already got the Triforce, he's not far off.

James Steele 05-12-2009 10:26 PM

Is he only 23 and is getting great learning experience from being involved with a main event program. While The Legacy isn't as good as Evolution, he is no doubt going to get better as he learns over time. I just hope he doesn't turn into a Randy Orton clone.

DrA 05-12-2009 10:43 PM

No

The Pope 05-12-2009 11:01 PM

I think if they focus just a little on wrestling and not how they talk just kidding. He can't make it he looks extremely quiet.

Not yet.

Dorkchop 05-12-2009 11:49 PM

Well yes, but not a successful one. That take years.

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2009 11:54 PM

Cody is a few years away from truly finding his best game, but the kid is quite good on the mic, and has enough talent to contribute to whatever scene the WWE decides to use him in. I think he most certainly does have the charisma needed.

Sovereigntywillpr 05-13-2009 04:17 AM

Maybe they should go for the quite shy type.

Randy Orton is a complete Nut, Teddy is Cocky, and Cody can be the quite guy next dore who goes psycho when needed.

seriously they could do something were Cody does something that even Orton thinks is pushing it, or have him tease it and be stopped by Orton...
He's going to have to get a personality if he's there for the long run, might as well as be crazy cody.

GD 05-13-2009 05:25 AM

Cody needs a character enhancement.

Mooияakeя™ 05-13-2009 05:30 AM

When E&C first came on, I thought Edge looked to thin to be a main event guy and Christian was gonna be the Marty Janetty of the two if they ever split, but as they left the Brood and started talking I thought Edge would be an IC champ at best and Christian just jumping from tag team to tag team. But both have really gone past what I thought. Now I look at them and see Ted as Edge and Cody as Christian.

Maybe Cody could do the same. I dunno. Guess we can only see in a couple of years time. I think we already have the future being assembled now with Orton, Punk, Morrison , Cena :-\ and even Swagger. Edge and Chris are future, but well establish present too.

Sixx 05-13-2009 05:47 AM

I'd first give him some clothes.

GD 05-13-2009 06:21 AM

Knee pads too.

St. Jimmy 05-13-2009 06:28 AM

Yes. :y:

Mr. Nerfect 05-13-2009 06:35 AM

I still wish they had done more with a potential Goldust feud. This Legacy stuff has given two new guys way too much to do way too early, I think, and I worry that it is going to potentially hurt them long run.

It is Evolution Lite, and if they keep with this group long enough both of them will reasonably get over. I think Ted will get the most out of this because he is closer to being at that level then Cody, but neither have enough experience to expect them to blow you away in main event programs yet.

Dave Youell 05-13-2009 07:15 AM

He looks too skinny, his socks come over his boots (I don’t like that)

My arms are bigger than his legs, so he looks silly without either knee pads of longer tights

He has a weird face, always looks like he’s pouting, and he likes touching the other members of Legacy waaaay too much.

In the ring, he’s ok, nothing amazing, just ok.

So, he needs to bulk out a big and continue his progression

Impeccable 05-13-2009 07:16 AM

I think he does have "it". He'll be sucessful, but not sure if I could ever buy him as a Main Event player...he just seems really really small.

I want to see Simply Priceless and hart Foundation 2 go at it before his singles career though.

That.

The boy doesn't have the look as of right now. He has a decent glare, but all he looks like is an angry middle schooler. He should shave his head a little, grow some facial hair, and hit the gym hard in my view, and come back as a bad-ass heel.

Xero 05-13-2009 12:20 PM

I doubt he could grow facial hair.

addy2hotty 05-13-2009 02:24 PM

No no, he's just awful.

So a Mini Batista then?

Do we really need another Swog?

Mr. Nerfect 05-15-2009 10:48 AM

How can people say that Ted DiBiase is closer to being the full package than Cody Rhodes? Have either guy really done anything yet?

Mr. Nerfect 05-15-2009 10:49 AM

Truthfully, I think Rhodes' best chance of making it is to get drafted to ECW next year, and maybe win the ECW Championship there to try and get people used to taking him seriously. DiBiase will probably be fine because of his build, and because he's likely to be the one to turn face, and get a mild face rub by taking it to Orton.

Pardeep 619 05-15-2009 01:58 PM

I think Cody Rhodes does have the charisma to make it (his promos with Randy Orton when he first debut were great), but at the same time he looks like such a fucking fag that I can't take him too seriously at the moment

#1-norm-fan 05-16-2009 01:28 AM

I remember when he first debuted, I thought he had some skills playing the old school face character against Orton. Now, it's just not there.

Nark Order 05-16-2009 01:36 AM

I don't think Cody can grow a beard, tbh.

Mr. Nerfect 05-17-2009 09:20 AM

I think he'll work a lot better as a face than a heel.

Lock Jaw 05-17-2009 03:34 PM

Cody's nose-stud piercing says no.
