Tajiri Yay or Nay?

So there was overwelming love for the Snowman so lets see how you feel about the Japanese buzzsaw? I first saw Tajiri in ECW as apart of the "Unholy Union" with Mikey Whipwreck and the Sinister Minister. After ECW went belly up he was William Regal's tea server for a while. After he split with Regal he was a kinda comedic face for a while with Torrie Wilson and then turned heel again making he drees as a geisha and spiting the "black mist" in Nidia's eyes. I remember he make a stable with Akio (Jimmy Wang Yang) and Sakoda, but (it's a wrestling rumor) they were going to feud with the FBI (italian mafiaish Nunzio, Chucky P and Johnny the Bull) vs Kyo Dai (a Yakuza gimmick). He wrestled kinda mid level for a while and was released from his contract after teaming with Regal and Eugene each. He still wrestles for Hustle and I've seen him here and there in All Japan. I'm gonna give him a Yay because I always did a little cringe when he did that snap kick to the head. I also would have liked to seen more on the Kyo Dai gimmick but, oh well.

I concur. Tajiri was the man. His kick to the temple is one of my favourite looking finishers ever.

Dave Youell 05-17-2009 02:08 AM

His shit with Super Crazy was just awesome in ECW

KIRA 05-17-2009 02:27 AM

much love for Tajiri his kicks are unholy

btw can anyone tell me of a wrestler with stiffer kicks I'd love to see a video

Impact! 05-17-2009 02:29 AM

Low-Ki

Impeccable 05-17-2009 04:04 AM

Huge yay from me! Tarantula was immense, as was his backspring elbow...thing.

ClockShot 05-17-2009 08:08 AM

His kicks to the head can pretty much put you in a coma.

Big yay.

Rammsteinmad 05-17-2009 09:12 AM

Yay!

Mr. Nerfect 05-17-2009 09:18 AM

I always liked Tajiri. I'm a sucker for the fun-loving guy who can then kill a guy with kicks. I'll be honest, I always liked Tajiri as a babyface more than a heel, even though I know most people prefer him as a heel.

Volare 05-17-2009 09:31 AM

YAY! dammit! YAY!

Mr. Nerfect 05-17-2009 09:48 AM

So who is going to say "nay" just to fuck with Tajiri's score?

Terra Ryzin 05-17-2009 10:59 AM

His team with Mikey was one of my favorites

The Pope 05-17-2009 11:01 AM

YAY Whoever says NAY can get the mist

Outsider 05-17-2009 11:02 AM

He was awesome. Really annoyed me that instead of giving him a good farewell match they jobbed him on heat or something.

GD 05-17-2009 11:03 AM

Tajiri was simply amazing. Yay to my fellow Asian. :shifty:

Mooияakeя™ 05-17-2009 11:08 AM

I miss the mist alone tbh. Tajiri :y:

Loved Tajiri. The tarantula was a sweet ass move.

Nicky Fives 05-17-2009 05:25 PM

BEST. KICKS. EVER.

The Pope 05-17-2009 06:52 PM

Best Japanese wrestler ever besides TAKA

Dorkchop 05-17-2009 09:13 PM

I always loved the guy. The way he sold a few moves kind of bothered me, but come on it's Tajiri. I loved him in ECW and I loved him in his first year or so in WWE. I'm surprised how well they booked him in 2001. He was amazing as Regal's assistant

Evil Vito 05-17-2009 10:34 PM

Big yay for pretty much every reason mentioned.

Theo Dious 05-17-2009 11:14 PM

EDUCATED FEETS.

Nowhere Man 05-17-2009 11:21 PM

Tajiri was one of those guys who should have gone a lot further had it not been for WWE's usual aversion to pushing cruisers. Solid in-ring work, was entertaining as hell when he was a face and made for a great 'dastardly foreigner' heel, had kicks that always made me wince when they connected, and always seemed to stay relatively over with the crowd even when getting jobbed out.

A definite YAY.

Volchok 05-18-2009 12:17 AM

Hell Yeah

dronepool 05-18-2009 01:25 AM

I always liked him, so yay from me.

Mr. Nerfect 05-18-2009 01:33 AM

RICKY MARTIN?!?! Here TONIGHT?!?!?!

The Gold Standard 05-20-2009 07:59 PM

I think he is very underrated

GD 05-20-2009 08:13 PM

Tajiri pwned Rey Mysterio in the CW divison back in the golden era of Smackdown!

The Optimist 05-20-2009 10:50 PM

Sweet.

lol. That was my first thought after seeing the the votes.

Jeez. I would have thought EVERYONE has their detractors. 53-0?????

Xero 05-21-2009 08:23 PM

Tajiri clearly belongs in the Better Wrestler HOF.

My Final Heaven 05-23-2009 05:59 PM

Tajrii was very good. Things I liked about him:

1 - Loved his "Yakuza" thing he had going on with Akio (Yang) & Sakoda. Wanted to see it take him further tho.

2 - His Woman Hater gimmick w/ Torrie Wilson played out well as far as Woman Hater gimmicks go.

3 - Always marked out when his TitanTron showed him spitting out his name.

PSSSSHHHHH "TAJIRI" IN BIG GREEN DRIPPY LETTERS.

The Optimist 05-23-2009 11:31 PM

Someone close this poll. It's brilliant the way it is.
