Ric Flair (spoilers)
so I thought flair was ROH ambassador, what the fuck is he doing back in the E?
Also do you think he should make an in ring return after his big send off and shit? Would that tarnish his legacy? |
I dare you make your spoilers a little more ambiguous.
|
he should retire and yes it would hurt him only if he wrestled again... he should be a GM
|
No.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. |
Thought he said he wasn't going to decredit his 'last match' with HBK by wrestling another match.
He is prob only going to be used for run-ins/screw overs. |
My guess is that Ric Flair is just back so that they can get all four members of Evolution involved in the story. Of course, the poor fifth member, Eugene will be forgotten again. :shifty:
|
I see it going along the lines of...Flair returns to RAW tonight to help Batista. After he helps him, Batista turns on him, bloodies Flair, and just walks out of the building after a reporter asks him why he did it. Would definitely have an old school RAW feel to it
|
ric, tsk tsk tsk. You miserable old bastard. Just stay out of the ring please.

Easiest way to turn him heel and then have a new focus for HHH on his return which free's up Randy for a programme with.... Cena again I guess? |
He's going to end up back in the ring. The more run ins like this, the more likely it will happen for me.

saggy tits will wrestle again. It will be pathetic except for the nostalgic pop. RAW IS SAGGY TITS

Orton vs Michaels...if Michaels is anywhere near a return? |
a heel turn /revenge on michaels kind of angle might be interesting.
|
So...does this hurt ROH, help ROH, or dosen't do anything?
|
He's definitely gonna wrestle again I think. This sucks.
|
Yeah I was gonna go to the show in Manassas next month. If no Flair, then most likely no David.
|
As much as I dont want it to happen, it seems inevitable. The guy cant stay away, and thats the problem. Hell, he wants his name out anywhere and everywhere. He was even the special guest of NASCAR's All-Star race on Saturday.
You can make the excuse the some people over the years have unretired. But no one had a retirement party like Flair did. Returning to the ring to wrestle will definitely tarnish it. |
I disagree with those who say that Flair returning to the ring would tarnish it. If the man can go in the ring, then he can go in the ring. We'll live. The only thing is, the reason he did sort of retire in the first place was because he couldn't go consistently anymore. I'm sure time off has helped him, but the dude is old as balls, and should probably think about shitty matches tarnishing his legacy more than anything else.
I miss heel Ric Flair. I'd love to see him as a heel manager poised against HBK. |
Well, I just read that the WWE have brought in Ric Flair because Triple H is taking some time off, and they believe Flair can draw. Okay.
|
Even if your race horse wins you tons of money and gold medals, eventually the time comes when you have to take the horse out back and shoot it. And after you do, you remember it, cherish the memories and victories, and honor your horse above all others.
Ric Flair is like zombie horse returning from the grave and trying to race again. Nobody honors zombie horse. |

Flair is no zombie horse. |
If flair went heel and returned that could work. Then he could be like "fuck you hbk, I'm gonna wrestle anyway, fuck the fans, i want the title." he could cheat to win and it'd be great.

For those saying Ric Flair returning to the ring when he can no longer go will tarnish the legacy of great matches he has in his back catalogue... that's bullshit. If the last ten years of his career didn't tarnish the legacy, nothing will.
I don't care about him tarnishing his history of great matches, but I would certainly be frustrated to see him tarnish the greatest retirement send-off of all time. Will Flair wrestle again? Probably. Would I rather he didn't? Most definitely. But the fact is if Flair does wrestle again, as much as I'd rather he didn't, I would still be interested in watching it. And I guess that's what really matters to WWE. If Flair is still a popular draw, which I guess he is, then it makes sense to use him if he has the itch to wrestle. Out of respect for his history and name value, I'd rather see Flair wrestle on the biggest stage than in some high school gym, or for ROH in front of an audience of literally hundreds. If Flair is going to wrestle anyway, may as well be on a WWE pay-per-view. |
Also sick of bullshit veteran politics, if I hear one more person (Flair included) say that Flair is "still better than 90% of the roster" I might scream. Talk about instilling low self-esteem in your undercard, and massaging the decrepit Flair ego.
