Holy shit, Purdue just got Robert Marve
 

I hope this guy lives up to the hype. Purdue might actually go to a Rose Bowl again.

He was a big time QB coming out of high school but I dunno. He didn't stand out very much at Miami but that might not be his fault (he might have even done well stats wise I'm not sure).

Purdue could be the next Big 10 team to get smashed in the Rose Bowl tho

Marve isn't a competitor. He wanted to go to a team in a soft division, with lackluster talent so he could shine. That equals Purdue. Don't take that as a compliment RP.

Actually, Purdue runs a perfect offense for him. It's turned out some really good QB's lately. Kyle Orton, Drew Bree's and Curtis Painter. Those first 2 are pretty good.

I think Marve has a ton of talent. He could provide a solid QB for the team, I just don't know about his competitive spirit. He was a starting QB at Miami, but was feeling a little pressure from Jacoby whatever his name is. So he bolts? Red Flag there.

I'm assuming Miami was gonna dump the 2 QB system since it just never really works. So if that happened he was probably going to get beaten out by Jacory Harris. Harris was the top QB coming out of HS a year ago so it's not like Marve doesn't have the skill set to play, it's just that Harris is better than him. Makes sense to transfer, he's too good to be a back-up at the college level.
