OK, what the hell..
I thought Sheffield was out for 2-3 months with a broken thumb.
What's going on. |
He played with it last year so he figured he could play with it this year and decided to not have the big operation
|
Well shit. I did not know this. This is good, for I have him on one of my baseball teams. I had missed the draft, and would not have taken him. The Auto-Drafting Computer therefore saved my bacon.

I swear if you have to spend 2-3 months nursing a broken thumb you are just a big pussy
|
I hurt my thumb more than a year ago. Not broke or anything, just hurt it bad. It still gives me troubles. Also my baby finger on the same hand. There are days when I have so much pain...
Anyway 2-3 months out for someone who's job it is to hold a bat isn't all that long relatively speaking. |

I bet if he played for Minnesota you'd say "Well, we need to nurse him along...better safe than sorry." |

Hahahaha I have my work cut out for me to be the big Minnesota-biased sports fan on these boards. But I do  Sheffield, even if he got in bed with Satan. |
Yeah seriously, try gripping a bat with a broken thumb and still be as effective as you are full strength and them come back and tell me hes a ****ing pussy.
Hell it's tough with just a jammed finger, much less a broken one. |
Maybe he just has it in a brace that forces it to fit around a bat. CHEATER! o_O
Also, I'm sure the steroids he's on make it a lot easier to hold a bat :y: |

Anyway though, his finger must honestly be shattered if it was going to keep him out that long. I broke my finger once and it took like maybe a month at most to get it working again. He must not have a bone left.
