I wouldn't go that far :o :$

Wengerland 03-31-2004 04:06 PM

Judging by tonights game,Chelsea would be less exciting under Eriksson than Ranieri.

Jacko 03-31-2004 05:49 PM

Yea I done this on Monday.

It's likely Ranners is staying now in any case, C'mon Chelsea!

Rob 03-31-2004 05:50 PM

Eriksson is the most overrated manager I have ever seen. What does he do when he can't make 9 subs a game? The guy only won Serie A with Lazio after spending £90 million in one season whilst breaking every regulation in the book signing those players I might add. Look at the state Lazio are in now too. England aren't any better now than they were before he took over.

Well said :y: And don't forget the part where he plays players in the wrong f'ing positions! That was a total farce against sweden, he just didn't want to beat his home nation, well what would happen if we met sweden in the actual tournament? That's what worries me about having foreign managers.

we did meet them in an actual tournament already with Sven in charge. I think he's probably more professional than that. Its in his best interests to win anyway.

But yeah, i agree about playing players out of position, Smith on the right wing and that time he played Lampard on the left :|

Rob 04-02-2004 01:11 PM

You didn't beat them last time either.

I don't buy the argument though. Berti Vogts did a great job the two times we played Germany last year.

Rob Ban Fan 04-02-2004 01:32 PM

yeah i know. I was just saying its a little harsh to be saying he didn't want to beat Sweden.

I don't think you should take too much from the result considering some of the players that were rested or missing. Stick with Sven

SeanMC 04-08-2004 11:08 AM

It doesn't matter anyway, sven is gonna leave after euro 2004 no matter what the FA say, trust me it'll happen.and god i hope it does. And the whole point of the friendly was to giveguys like alan thompson a chance, fine he playued thompson but he had no support from the left back position cos he played soem right footed player there which made no sense.
Put this situation into prespective, what if that bayern munich manager came and managed us? Do you think he would want us to beat germany on there home ground? I just find that rather odd wanting to beat your home country on there home turf, especially considering the rivalry between the two. God i hope we don't get a german manager after sven!Yes scotland may of done well under berti vogts against germany doesn't mean to say that'll be the same for us.

Frank Grimes Jnr 04-09-2004 12:37 AM

Save Claudio just for his entertaing post match interviews.
