The Deaner and the Seaman (TNA)
 

So is anyone interested in the whole Cody Deaner being trained to wrestle by ODB or the former sailor Jesse Neal being trained by Rhyno? I was suprised that they just had him just kinda come out and get smashed by Matt Morgan.

The Cody Deaner thing is annoying, but the Jesse Neal thing does spark a little bit of interest. Really don't like how he was flat out squashed last week, but I guess that's what happens when you give him Matt Morgan in his first match.

Cody Deaner is amazing.

I think the angle they're going with on Jesse Neal is that Rhyno will turn on him because Neal is making him look bad by sucking.

I was thinking that, too. I hope that's not entirely the case, because I think Rhino & Jesse Neal could have long term potential together. Especially with everything being pretty packed right now, so the two working as a tag team could be kind of cool.

The story behind Jesse Neal is interesting, and I liked that they haven't had him come in and run roughshed over the roster. He's a tough kid with heart, but he just doesn't quite have it yet to go toe-to-toe with guys like Matt Morgan.

Cody Deaner is far less appealing. Actually seems like a decent worker behind the gimmick, but it's just doing nothing for nobody, really. It's hard to take him seriously, at all, and it's just not as funny as TNA wants it to be (although the performers are doing the best).

You might be thinking of a slightly different ODB, RDD...

both useless.... I guess being Canadian makes me not really care about the whole "I survived Iraq, my best friend died, please appreciate just because of that" gimmick

Deaner: absolutely not.

Seaman: I always seem to miss the stuff involving him so I don't know. Doesn't seem promising, though.

Cody Deaner is being made out to be a joke which is a shame cause he has so much talent,I can only hope with the new "training to be a wrester gimmick" that we will get a chance to get over as a wrestler and not a comedy act
