More than playing online even.

Just played a couple games of NBA 2k7 and started a co-op campaign in GoW, and it's more fun than I ever had online.

Word, I barely play online but whenever i play with people locally it always turns out being a blast. 4 player tnmt the arcade game is so freaking incredible this way.

I agree with fignuts. Beating someone you know is always more satisfying than beating a stranger.

Yeah, local = ratings when you've got friends and booze going strong.

14 people playing Halo 1 in one house was the best part about Halo.

Nah, son. Nothing beats 10 people hanging out, drinking, talking shit and playing street fighter/rock band/FPS du jour.

I like a nice, quiet evening. I hate having people over. I used to like being with my "peeps", until I moved away from them and had to do the "grown up" thing.

I did that, and was suffocating in my boredom. Different strokes and such, I guess.

My 360 is at my friends house now, since all the parties are at his place.

Playing 2v2 spitscreen multiplayer Versus L4D was amazing. I hope to do it again at some point. It was the most fun I've had with multiplayer in a long time

I wish more games allowed for local, single-console multiplayer.

Mostly, I'd rather play online if I have the peeps, but when I have people over, I see no reason not to be able to play with them.

The fact that criterion charges you 800 ms points to play local multiplayer, is probably the biggest rip off in the history of live.

Would b more pissed at them if they didn't release so much great content all the time.

I'm prolly gonna leave it there for a while. Don't play videogames much in the summer, and if I want to, I've still got the PS3.

I only kinda play occasionally. All my homeboys are scrubs and I don't play online as much as other guys.

Nothing online matched the hype of a 16man LAN party. Nothing. Offline fighting game sessions still own as well. I appreciate online modes in games but offline can't be beat.

I agree Figgy. My buddy and I play hours of Co-op in every game we can when we get drunk.

Nothing fucks me off more than playing a console FPS with someone, and you are the only 2 players in the game, no coop, nothing.

lol battlefield has to be the most boring game ever with 2 people.

I mean, yeah, obviously with some games, online is better, because thats what its made for.

Me and my buddies have LAN parties every couple of months, and we play battlefield 2142 for hours on end, it's fucken epic.

But it doesn't make us cool.

Smash Brothers against my roommate and friends is one of the only reasons I still have a Wii.
