World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Jesse and ECW Superstar Tony Atlas as of today, June 8, 2009. WWE wishes them the best in all future endeavors.

Isn't Tony Atlas booked to face Evan Bourne on ECW? Why not just wait until Atlas jobs to him? Jesse being released is a bit bizarre. He's the son of Terry Gordy, and Michael Hayes must love the guy. I'm willing to bet the only reason he hasn't been used more is because Hayes doesn't want to appear to be playing favourites.

I guess they're figuring out who the future will consist of. And they also are bringing back Chris Masters from a thread posted on here. Maybe some of these firings are to make room for other people.

I haven't seen these reported yet. I'm not going to scream "bullshit," but I'm wondering if these are fake. Jesse Gordy has too much going for him, and Tony Atlas still has some work to do before he is released.

That would explain why the story has only been reported by shawnrhodeisland. WWE doesn't want to let it get out and have Tony find out that he is no longer getting paid. This shawnrhodeisland guy must be a mole. I bet his name isn't even shawnrhodeisland.
