Umaga To TNA

From wrestlingINC.com...

Quote:

As of right now, sources within TNA claim the company is interested in Umaga. One member of management sees dollar signs in a program with Samoa Joe and Umaga. Umaga’s clause with WWE will be expiring late in the summer.

Well blow me over with a feather.

Loose Cannon 06-10-2009 12:14 AM

that's actually an interesting angle if they don't fuck it up

KYR 06-10-2009 12:14 AM

DID. NOT. SEE. THAT. COMING.

Loose Cannon 06-10-2009 12:14 AM

Stop stealing my comedic thunder.

KYR 06-10-2009 12:15 AM

Those sources again.

Xero 06-10-2009 12:15 AM

TNA is interested in a former WWE wrestler.

Holy fuck, stop the presses.

thecc 06-10-2009 12:15 AM

I really want Umaga to go to japan for a little while before he signs. I would kill for a match between him and Morishima.

Triple Naitch 06-10-2009 12:17 AM

How can it be an interesting angle?

He's Samoan, and so is he! Steel Cage Match!

KYR 06-10-2009 12:19 AM

If TNA ever actually decided to instigate a 'Wellness Policy' of their own (and be legit about it) they'd lose ¾ of their roster overnight.

Actually, if the WWE ever...nevermind.

You know something strange I actually thought that Umaga was kinda brought in because of the "popularity" Samoa Joe was generating for TNA. Kinda why they made Umaga as a kinda Samoan undefeated force for the beginning of this run.

The real question is how much of his Umaga likeness can he use? Is it possible for the WWE to try and copywrite his tattoos? :shifty:

Sixx 06-10-2009 01:12 AM

Samoa Joe is a fat, useless bastard.

Ultimate truth.

Storer50 06-10-2009 01:50 AM

Wasn't Umaga already in TNA at one point as Ecmo? He teamed with Sonny Siaki.

Bad Company 06-10-2009 02:08 AM

WWE built Umaga so well, he was one of my favourite current wrestlers. Shame to see him go to TNA.

Mr. Nerfect 06-10-2009 05:21 AM

What's sad is that only one member of management sees dollar signs in a program between Samoa Joe and Eddie Fatu.

Okay, the presses are stopped. Now what?

No, Some guy named Eddie Fatu was in TNA. He looks a lot like Umaga, but he isn't UMAGA!

Don't say stop the presses unless you're stuck in the presses.

Umaga/ AJ Styles is a match TNA has to do. I think Umaga would be a fantastic base for AJ.

Umaga would be a fantastic base for a pool table.

I'd like to think AJ is slightly more athletic than a pool table.

PorkSoda 06-11-2009 02:39 AM

You-Mang-A to TNA!

Oh he is definitely. My point was that Umaga was of sufficient size and girth to be the base of a pool table...why am I explaining this?

Lol, girth.

Mr. Nerfect 06-11-2009 09:02 AM

I'm officially a fan of Eddie Fatu, by the way. The man made a ridiculous character work, and is probably the best worker of The Wild Samoan family.

How great would it be if they did and he had to wear a shirt at every waking moment.

Mr. Nerfect 06-12-2009 03:04 AM

He could feud with Matthew McConaughey in a deeply personal mainstream-reaching feud.

I think if he goes back to TNA he goes back to being Ekmo
