So I just found out....
Breaking Point is in Montreal.
 |
I'm all for HBK beating all three members of the Hart Dynasty via sharpshooter in a gauntlet match.
This is too easy.
I love it that this trio are called The Hart Dynasty, when none of them are actually named Hart. Even David Hart Smith is just a ring name, which he's only now started using, and the Hart portion is forced the share bragging rites with the Smith name. Even if Teddy Hart was there, again just a ring name.
It's a shame that, of the Hart Family, there are no active "Harts" still in the business. Relatives with genuine Hart bloodlines, yes, but none genuinely named Hart. |
Well, you can send Bill Goldberg a thank you note for that one.

I have eaten at a place called China Dynasty. I never question whether or not the egg rolls I'm getting are actually from the Ming Dynasty, but perhaps I will think again thanks to the words of Class Act Carl.
Always thinking see, boyo.

I noticed you like to defend Goldberg alot. Sorry to step on your toes I guess.
Goldberg fears Stone Cold
Nah, people just seem to assume that the Goldberg kick was the last thing to happen in Bret's career when infact he wrestled a bunch of matches and did a lot more damage after that
I don't think anybody assumes that it was the last thing that happened before the end of his career at all. I think Goldberg is blamed for being the cause of the demise of Bret's in-ring career, which he was. The time table is kind of irrelevant. It's pretty well understood that the botched stiff kick from Goldberg is the universal symbol marking the end of Bret's career. He was never the same after that.
This had to be planned
A big screwjob/heel turn in the main event of Breaking Point in Montrel would be epic. But who to turn?
It could be planned, it could not. The Montreal crowd is pretty smart, but today's product is completely different than 1997. The current, younger fan base didn't watch then and it would be lost on them. I would bet it would be a pretty standard PPV. Maybe Punk uses the Anaconda Vice.
It's really a non-issue. Montreal never happened.
Oh look, Xero making a thread to once again bring up the Montreal issue.
Get over it. |
Oh look, Zen posting in a thread about the Harts.
Get Bret's dick out of your mouth. |
Oh hey, Xero making a dick joke, when he's constantly slobbering over HBK's knob to no end.
Oh look, Zen bringing up HBK when Bret is mentioned.
Get over it. |
Oh look, Narc bringing up his hot red headed girlfriend again.
I don't think I did that right. |
Oh look, Narcissus taking issue with my mentioning of HBK in a Montreal thread, when that is exactly what Xero was hoping to start up again, because he slobs HBK's knob like Narcissus only wishes he could do.
Oh look, Bret probably should have agreed to drop the belt, Shawn shouldn't have been such a dick at that time, get the fuck over it, and lets all just move on. :y:
So pretty much a few are assuming that the Hart Dynasty are gonna get screwed somehow?
No. I think they were just saying it would be funny if they were.
I would laugh a bit...maybe.
The WWE should really do Shawn Michaels vs. David Hart Smith at this PPV. The heat for it would be tremendous.
Now wait a second, unless Bret was taking a bunch of indy dates, he actually did not wrestle that much after Starrcade 99. After that night, of course most of us will remember the nWo reunion that was short lived because Hart was suppose to be defending the title at the next PPV, but couldn't because of his head problems. I actually recall them saying he had a stroke, but maybe I'm thinking of another incident. Funny how that PPV's main event got the ball rolling for Benoit and the 'radicals' to leave for WWE. Goldberg just screwed everything up didn't he.....haha.
And David Hart Smith would get a much deserving push for just one night only. Just having a match with Michaels (even if its the opening card) would have a big effect on him...
Goldberg had the reverse Midas touch...everything he touched turned to crap.

David is the son of Davey yes, but also the son of Diana HART. |
My point was that they don't carry the name, not that they aren't related.
Well, one of them isn't even related. But then, he's no different to Brian Pillman in that respect so it's fair enough. |

It would be great for the live crowd, but unless DH Smith steps up his game 1,000 fold then no. How would they plan a shtick like that, and get everyone outside of the IWC and Montreal to give a damn? |
Quote:
The DH Smith point is very true though. No way is he ready for that. |
