Why was Punk pointing 2 fingers when he won the World title at Extreme Rules

Isn't he a 4 time World Champion winning the ROH World Championship, the ECW Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship (x2) ?!

Juan 06-14-2009 03:41 AM

I really hope you are not serious with this question, Dave.

GD 06-14-2009 03:42 AM

Well as a matter of fact I am. Almost everybody remembers that he won the ECW title and the ROH title.

Lock Jaw 06-14-2009 03:44 AM

The ROH Title does not exist in the WWE Universe, and the ECW Title only exists for the current champion.

Juan 06-14-2009 03:51 AM

I like you Dave, but when was the last time you heard the ROH title mentioned on WWE TV? He won his second World Heavyweight Championship, hence the 2 fingers.

GD 06-14-2009 03:54 AM

I understand dear but he did win the ECW title and he should have raised 3 fingers. That's all I am saying.

Juan 06-14-2009 03:55 AM

The ECW title does not = The World Heavyweight Championship.

He won his second World Heavyweight Championship, hence the 2 fingers.

GD 06-14-2009 04:10 AM

Doesn't seem technically sound. Didn't Batista become a 5 time World Champion after winning the WWE title.

The WWE title is not = to the World Heavyweight title.

In this case he won his first WWE title.

Juan 06-14-2009 04:24 AM

Yeah, but Punk was specifically alluding to the fact the he had won that specific title twice now. Either that or he was just throwing up the "peace" sign

Maybe 2 is his favorite number

Destor 06-14-2009 04:45 AM

ECW title = European champion

DAMN iNATOR 06-14-2009 04:59 AM

2 = 2-Time World Heavyweight Champion via MitB briefcase cash-in opportunity (if you wanna be that technical about it).

GD 06-14-2009 05:14 AM

DAMN INATOR makes sense. :y:

That's what I said, Juan. But thanks for repeating me.:nono:

Juan 06-14-2009 05:39 AM

I know, I just don't see why Dave didn't understand my post when I said basically the same thing you did.

GD 06-14-2009 05:48 AM

To be more precise he won it twice via cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

Juan 06-14-2009 05:54 AM

Whatever Dave

GD 06-14-2009 05:58 AM

Calm down dude.

Jeritron 06-14-2009 05:58 AM

lol

FourFifty 06-15-2009 09:45 AM

Maybe Punk was just showing his respect for Jack Swagger, the Two Time Two Time All American American!

Team Sheep 06-15-2009 10:11 AM

What do you guys say when someone has won both World Heavyweight title and the WWE title? Do you say he's a 1 time World Heavyweight champion and a 1 time WWE Champion or just say he's a 2 time champion? I just go with whatever brand the title is on. For example, because Batista's on Raw I'd say he's a 5 time WWE champion but if he got drafted to Smackdown now I'd say he's a 5 time World Heavyweight champion.

Mr. Nerfect 06-15-2009 10:55 AM

I, personally, like to be specific. Triple H is an eight-time WWE Champion and a five-time World Heavyweight Champion, with thirteen World Titles overall. I think to the WWE, it really doesn't matter, and the belts are interchangeable. It seems that Triple H is a thirteen-time WWE Champion, because he's chasing the WWE Title. What were they saying about Batista on RAW? That show is horrible, so I don't watch, but did they put Batista over as a five-time World Champion or WWE Champion?

Team Sheep 06-15-2009 11:13 AM

Yeah like with Triple H I'd just call him a 13 time WWE Champion like they do on TV because he's on Raw. Not sure what they said about Batista, I wasn't really paying attention.

Anybody Thrilla 06-15-2009 01:14 PM

I'm pretty sure they said Batista was a five time champion of some sort.

If he's held both simultaneously you call him either Triple H or Chris Jericho...:shifty:

Holding up two fingers is a common sign for "scissors" in the popular game/decision making tool Paper, Scissor, Rock. I believe Punk was holding up the two fingers as a sign to the smarks that he had cut through the bullshit and the politics to get back on top of the WWE, brother!

Supreme Olajuwon 06-15-2009 02:35 PM

can't believe you people

He's holding up two fingers to his throat. It's clearly a tribute to Great Muta

thedamndest 06-15-2009 02:36 PM

Why is Gregory Helms holding up three fingers?

Anybody Thrilla 06-15-2009 02:39 PM

3 Count

thedamndest 06-15-2009 02:40 PM

Well this mystery has been solved. Let's pack it in, boys.

Supreme Olajuwon 06-15-2009 02:41 PM

Possibly because he's a 3 time cruiserweight champion

Supreme Olajuwon 06-15-2009 02:41 PM

case opened

Jura 06-15-2009 02:42 PM

This is very insensitive to people who have no fingers at all.

Anybody Thrilla 06-15-2009 02:44 PM

So is posting on a message board in general, Rampage.

thedamndest 06-15-2009 02:46 PM

I think we are again overlooking the most obvious answer. Gregory Helms is a Dudley Boy:

Supreme Olajuwon 06-15-2009 02:52 PM

Perhaps he is a fan of former major league pitcher Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown

Anybody Thrilla 06-15-2009 02:53 PM

Nope, pretty sure it's 3 Count.
