What is your favorite girl band?

And by girl band I mean a band fronted by a woman, or possibly all girl. Not a band for girls (i.e. Hanson, N*Sync, or things like that don't count). Also I'm thinking more along the line of hard rock bands.

For me i like the Veruca Salt and Morning Wood.

I'm still on the fence about this Hailstorm band.

Gertner 06-24-2009 10:54 AM

Does it HAVE to be a band, or could we list singles female singers?

The Mask 06-24-2009 11:49 AM

css and blondie are pretty good calls.

auf der maur are pretty cool too.

CSL 06-24-2009 12:07 PM

Arch Enemy
Lacuna Coil are alright
Paramore have a couple of annoyingly catchy songs (plus that Haley bird is SWISH)

Rilo Kiley
Alison Krauss and Union Station
Mediaeval Baebes
Jack off Jill
Hole (Their "Live Throught This" album, is pretty darn good.)

Some of The Grates' stuff has been annoyingly catchy. Their lyrics though are just like 'what'. Also the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Straylight Run (obviously their stuff before the whole 'Michelle DaRosa leaving the band) thing

Jeritron 06-24-2009 02:18 PM

I dunno. Maybe the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Garbage, Joydrop, Morningwood, and Veruca Salt are all good.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-24-2009 04:57 PM

I've never listened to Veruca Salt before today, I kinda like'em. What is their best album to start off with?

OssMan 06-24-2009 05:03 PM

Kitty

Penner 06-24-2009 05:04 PM

Hanson
N*Sync

Hornicane 06-24-2009 05:06 PM

Garbage is my favourite band in general. Also love Joydrop and Veruca Salt.

Like early Kittie... they were actually my first concert.
