WWE THE BASH -- MATCH OF THE NIGHT

What do you feel was the match of the night for WWE The Bash 2009?

CSL 06-28-2009 11:11 PM

Jericho/Rey by a long way [/poetry]

Triple Naitch 06-28-2009 11:12 PM

Rey/Jericho stole the show by far.

Dorkchop 06-28-2009 11:24 PM

Rey/Jericho stole the show yet again. The guys could have a 5 star blindfolded Judy Bagwel on a pole match with both arms tied behind their backs.

Jericho has always been an amazing wrestler, but since he's turned heel he's had consistently great matches. Of course wrestling HBK, Punk, and Rey helps a lot too. Jericho's is the best thing in WWE right now.

Krimzon7 06-28-2009 11:27 PM

There is absolutely no doubt that the scramble match wasn't the Match of the night.

Jericho/Mysterio easily. This could be an honorable mention for Match of the Year

Fucking HBK and Taker.

Every amazing match for the rest of the year has to be considered an "Honorable mention" nominee now. lol

Innovator 06-28-2009 11:47 PM

Didn't vote for Rey and Jericho just cause I wasn't home until it after happened, so went with Punk and Hardy

Krimzon7 06-28-2009 11:55 PM

You are right with the fact that every match will pale in comparison to HBK/Taker. It was a classic. But this match will be one of the top 10 matches of 2009.

Sixx 06-29-2009 12:10 AM

Considering the amount of soap opera the top 10 matches would be like half of all the matches of 2009.

legendkillerRKO 06-29-2009 12:18 AM

I HATE Mysterio...he needs to die

Legend Killer 06-29-2009 12:28 AM

Who voted for The Main Event??? I mean come one seriously?

Rey/ Y2J tore the fucking house down. That Code Breaker Counter was clutch.

James Steele 06-29-2009 12:31 AM

Triple H is clutch.

St. Jimmy 06-29-2009 12:40 AM

HEEEEEEEEEEEL TURNNNN

Sixx 06-29-2009 12:41 AM

I love Triple H but this got old too long fucking time ago. All so predictable.

James Steele 06-29-2009 12:43 AM

I bet you were just salivating at the chance to bitch about Triple H winning the WWE Championship.

Rammsteinmad 06-29-2009 02:50 AM

Jericho/Rey was amazing (as was all their other matches). I seriously hope they find a way to keep this rivalry going.

Gotta say the worst match for me was the main event. When I start putting McCookl/Melina above Triple H/Orton then something is seriously wrong. To be honest though I just don't feel that these two have any in-ring chemistry at all. Triple H feuds have been the same thing over and over for god knows how long, and this match just totally bored the shit out of me.

One of you needs to change your name. I don't care who it is or how you settle it.

Stealth-Icon 06-29-2009 03:19 AM

Rey/ Jericho was the best match. I am not the biggest fan of Rey, but he and Jericho worked great together and had a lot of action and great spots.....

That was my favorite match, but my favorite moments of the night where Kane coming back and Edge coming out followed by Jericho for the tag match.

FourFifty 06-29-2009 03:26 AM

There were two highlights of the "pissbreak on a pole" match.

Dolph Ziggler getting air time, and Kane.

St. Jimmy 06-29-2009 03:55 AM

Gotta be honest, I'm a huge fan of Randy and Trips... but what the fuck was that half-assed bullshit they called a match tonight. Fucking phoning that shit in. Seriously the next match they have (Hell in a Cell) I'd assume better be fucking fantastic. If everyone who had any stroke in the locker room didn't tell them how much that match sucked, then they're fucking cowards.

I know I'm a Triple H fan and all, but this was a good match and better than any of their other matches by leaps and bounds.

Sixx 06-29-2009 06:33 AM

I don't know about the match itself, I only read the results however what I meant by saying it's boring, is that UbermenscHHH vs Legacy, 1vs3 storyline.

Krimzon7 06-29-2009 07:24 AM

I love Triple H, but he needs to take some time off. He needs to rethink his schtick, and get fresh again.

Krimzon7 06-29-2009 07:26 AM

JS, you really think that the 3 stages match was the Match of the Night?

Dave Youell 06-29-2009 07:46 AM

HHH needs:

New Music
New Haircut
New Look
New Moves
New Gimmick

He's getting Hogan 1996 stale

Sixx 06-29-2009 07:52 AM

I can't picture a short-haired Triple H. But then again I couldn't picture short-haired Chris Jericho back in the day.

Pardeep 619 06-29-2009 08:03 AM

3 Stages of Hell match was a joke. It's annoying as fuck considering the video promo before the match teased how they could end up brawling anywhere around the arena (even showing Orton flying through his "home" window), yet all that happened was a pinfall just outside the ring in about 30 seconds. The last man standing match on Raw was much better.

Dave Youell 06-29-2009 08:23 AM

For my money, the best moment of this feud was the 30 seconds after HHH’s hot tag in the 6 man at Backlash where he just punched Orton in the corner, it showed all the intensity that was meant to be required based on what the feud was built upon.

Maybe this whole thing is just a ploy, right now the only other face main eventer is Cena, perhaps this is a way to get us all to want Cena in a title match again, as it’s better than seeing HHH

Jericho/Rey by a longggg way.

In order for me:

1. Jericho/Rey
2: Colons/Legacy/Jericho&Edge
3: CM Punk/Jeff Hardy
4: ECW Scramble
5: Khali/Ziggler
6: Cena/Miz
7: HHH/Orton
8: Michelle McCool/Melina

James Steele 06-29-2009 02:00 PM

How many of you people actually watched the 3 Stages of Hell match?

No, but I knew nobody would vote for it because OH NOES! HHH SO BORINGZ.

Testicle 06-29-2009 02:12 PM

So you dont think that HHH should change anything about himself?

I think it could help him alot like it did Jericho to change his look and moves.

Of course, Triple H should tweak some things every once in awhile but to say that Cena/Miz was better than the 3 Stages of Hell is fucking absurd and shows the ubersmarkism that makes most of you do nothing but bitch about the product.

Agreed. :y: 3 stages of hell wasn't amazing but I think they did what they could with the time they were given.

And Cena/Miz was lame.

ministrychick77 07-02-2009 03:08 PM

james... some of us were there live.. lol.

the crowd was pretty dead actually.. lots of cena fans.. plus the heat didnt help things either. lots of people got up during ziggler/khali & the divas match.. i did.

to me, i heard rey/jericho getting the biggest pops.
