WWE Superstars (airing 7/2/9) *SPOILERS*
 

WWE taped the final part of this week's edition of WWE Superstars in Fresno, California. Special thanks to ProWrestling.net for the following.

WWE Superstars: (Airing Thursday)
1. Edge beat C.M. Punk by forfeit. Good match. Face pops for both guys, but Edge had a little more. Punk sold the eye injury again and told the ref he couldn't continue the match. Good heel heat for Punk for stopping the match. After the match, he did an interview and said he couldn't see.

2. John Morrison defeated Charlie Haas. A standard Morrison match. he got the win with the Moonlight Drive followed by Starship Pain.

3. Zack Ryder over Tyler Reks. Ryder hit his finisher to win the match.

Oh no, could this be leading to Cena vs Punk?

Unfortunately, that’s as close as I've come to spotting the real thing so far, but still...

We wish Zach Ryder well in all of his future endeavors.

I don't like how many people have non-title victories over CM Punk. Impending heel turn or not, right now, John Morrison, Jeff Hardy and Edge are all owed title shots, the way I see it. A Fatal 4-Way match between the four would actually rock, but I can't see the WWE being that kind to us.

Zack Ryder could use a win. Tyler Reks is making his debut, so this is sort of like an Evan Bourne-style showing for Reks, I bet. No need to protect the kid, because he's not exactly going to get over with a monster winning streak. People will buy into his style, and how charismatic he comes off. I just hope Reks finds a way to bounce back.
