Is Battlestar Galactica (reimagined) the best series ever on TV?
 

I'm not talking HBO or Showtime.

I am at season 4 episode 4 and OMG.

Seriously started watching sometime last year, sthen went out and got season 1 and 2.0/2.5 downloaded season 3 and season 4.

Not ever, no.

The Shield surpasses it certainly. The Shield only improved as time went on without one boring or bad episode. BSG had a quite a few boring ass episodes.

I don't think BSG ever went on a slump. I have yet to watch the shield. This may be the next thing I begin watching.

Good, yes. Great even maybe. But the best? Nope.

Second half of BSG S3 was pretty boring.

As was the first half of 4, actually.

Second half of season 3 and some of season 2 was... less good. Wouldn't go so far o call it boring. Loved season 4. On the whole, I'd call it a great show. Far from the best.

I'd say the best is either Simpsons or Seinfeld. Anytime you want, you can just watch an episode and enjoy it no matter how many times you may have seen it.

Just picked up the Season 4 boxset for a mate for £4!

I fookin' love BSG.

I'm listening to the second season soundtrack at the mo.
It probably has the best soundtrack of any programme ever.

It's very very good but yeah at the mo for me The Wire is the best thing ever made.

The Wire and OZ are probably my top two but he said not counting HBO/Showtime.

No, even after ignoring HBO/Showtime and comedies on tv , it still wouldn't be the best ever since your talking about decades worth of shows.

I think M.A.S.H. is generally regarded as best ever mainly because of how long it lasted and its setting/plot compared to real life events at the time.
