Here is the catch: It doesn't start until the SF4 tourney ends. So hurry up and finish that first. Maybe that will get you more motivated to do so. It also gives us more time to practice.

I haven't played in a few months, last touched it on PS2. It may come back to quickly, but I need time to be dangerous again.

You shouldn't. I regret buying it. It was great years before, but I am not into it anymore. I don't know how to do anything, and the controller sucks. I just went through the fucking story mode on easy, and 3 of my matches ended up timing out. I think I am done with fighting games, for awhile at least. Waste of 1200 points for me. Give me a rifle and a target and I'll be happy.

How do you not know how to play this game? Training Mode aside it's pretty easy to get into. I'd argue SF4's harder than this.

It's not that it's harder than sf IV. It's just hard to get used to the speed, and sheer utter chaos of mvc2 after playing sf4 for so long.

I understand overestimation, but most big games don't get that way for no reason. Although, if you want games with mysteriously big followings look no further than Madden, Virtua Fighter, and Gears of War.

So what do you like then? I have Halo 1-3 (hooray for cheap games), but have yet to play them. From what I've seen tho, they are ptrtty solid shooters. Smash Bros' appeal comes from it's sheer insanity. There are always 2463823 things going on, but I derive fun from turning a crazy stage change or a deflected attack into my advantage and coming out on top despite the odds being way against me.
Madden = football. It's like FIFA and NHL for me. Same shit every year, but we buy it anyway for love of the sport. VF is a third rate fighter with delusions of being deep Don't enjoy it very much. Gears of War is a great story with fun gameplay and interesting characters. Understandable how it's not for everyone since the cover system style of gameplay can cause massive frustration.

I don't know, but not them. I gave them both far shots. I bought the Halo trilogy because I loved a book I read of it. I completed Halo 1 and couldn't even finish the 2nd. Smash Bros I bought, played for a few days and couldn't get into it either. Something about them that I don't like. They just don't interest me. It's ok though, not everyone in the world has to like the same things. :y:

Word. Smash Bros Melee = win tho. Way better than Smash Bros and Smash Bros Brawl.

We seem a lot more evenly matched in this game, so this should be good.

For some reason I can't do quarter-circle moves in this game well (on the controllers available). I remember my session with Khuntri last weekend and my Magneto was owning, now on my bro's controller I can't use him as well (that capture move is key to my defense). My Venom on the other hand is doing fabulous. And Cammy is still the Killer QUEEN Bee.

There is seriously nobody online in this game, not even for Ranked. All the hype people were on and I can't find a game for shit. Can't wait for this tourny to get going.

BTW, I'm competitive ready. Worked out the kinks with Magneto and Rouge might join my stable.
