Affliction show canceled. Back in bed with UFC
 

As the headline says. The show officially got canceled and they have agreed to become a main sponsor for the UFC. Being UFC doesn't deal with companies who promote fights, they look like they have stopped running shows too.

Expect a puke load of Affliction t-shirts on the next show.

Sooo..what about Fedor? Hes the only one anyone really cares about that was in affliction ,what happens to the fight he had left in the contract?

You know, I spoke with a friend of mine, and a couple of other things made this seem like it was coming, regardless of the Barnett situation.

1. UFC 100 Aftermath: Dana, despite saying for a while that Fedor WOULDN'T be in the UFC, changes his tune.

2. Tito acting like he's coming back to UFC: again, another odd coincidence.

Tito was coming back regardless. Nobody else could afford him or give him the big fights.

Fedor still has a non exclusive deal with Affliction and UFC isn't picking up any of their contracts. Why would they? They are all far too expensive.

Pretty wild turn of events.

Not really. Affliction were spending as wastefully as WCW was before they died, so no surprise they went under. Plus Barnett's been caught before, so no surprise there either.

Yeah, but I doubt that anyone could have guessed this would happen in such short time JUST before their last show.
