I'm not too big on either movie. Voted for Goodfellas to give it a fighting chance.

Goodfellas by many miles. This scene is better than the entire star wars franchise.

Wouldn't be surprised if Goodfellas makes if to the Hall.

Never seen Goodfellas, but don't particularly want to see Star Wars become the first HoF movie after all the great ones that didn't make it. So I'll refrain from voting for now, but will give a vote for Goodfellas if it needs it down the line.

Goodfellas. My favourite movie next to American Psycho. Thank God this came along. I HATE Star Wars.

Goodfellas, easily, without a second though.

I want to clarify my ambivalence on Goodfellas. I recognize that it's a good movie. But when I saw it for the first time it was really late at night and I was falling asleep and didn't really want to watch a movie, but I did anyway because I heard Goodfellas was supposed to be good. I couldn't get into it because of my state of mind so I watched it again the next morning. That didn't really help because I already knew what was coming. This was a few years ago. I should probably rewatch it now that some time has elapsed.

Why would you vote at all if you haven't seen both movies?

I voted Empire because it's basically my favorite movie. Goodfellas is amazing though. Gotta get the papers get the papers

Seriously though Lock Jaw, that disgusted me.

Off the top of my head I can think of maybe one or two movies I'd vote over one of the original 3 Star Wars movies. This is not one of them.

Goodfellas is and has been one of my all time faves since I saw it.

Same with Empire. But I could go on and on about why I prefer GF but I don't need or want to.

I grew up with Star Wars, thus I voted for it.

Empire Strikes Back for me was one of the weaker Star Wars movies but it's still way better than Goodfellas.

The SECOND I read 'NERD' in your post, it was said on an episode of the Office I'm watching.

This is very tough for me, but I'm going to have to go with Star Wars. Again, Empire Strikes Back is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Goodfellas is incredible. It will be hard for you to find something for me to vote against it

Look even if I were to give reasons why what difference would that really make anyway? What I think and what you think criteria wise makes a great movie when it's all said and done will differ. I simply did not enjoy this one as much as some the others it is by no means just a good movie don't get me wrong on that.

Goodfellas, cmon people

Lot of tall poppy syndrome going on here. Every movie has been ofer in the Hall of Fame round, looks like Empire is going to keep the trend going.

Myself, I just can't vote against it.
