Ok i just downloaded WOW and...

OK I am not paying for this game. No way Am I going to buy a game and then pay a subscription to keep playing, I may pick up guild wars (probably will) but i really want to play this game.

So anyway what's like teh best free server? Is that Oblivion one that's on Demonoid any good? I have all the expansions and shit too.

LoDownM 08-10-2009 03:00 AM

I thought you had already started playing like, a year ago or some shit?

And this just in, 99% of MMO's have subscription, news at 11.

Indifferent Clox 08-10-2009 03:02 AM

I did, but it was just the free trial.

I know and it's fucking ridiculous.

LoDownM 08-10-2009 03:02 AM

15 bucks a month is SOOOOO hard to come up with.

Fignuts 08-10-2009 03:05 AM

Not really ridiculous, considering the work that goes into maintaining servers, and dealing with all the technical issues.

LoDownM 08-10-2009 03:08 AM

I know.

For the record, Guild Wars isn't an MMO. "The first thing that needs to be said is that Guild Wars is not an MMO. There's a lot of misunderstanding going around, but GW is an online RPG that blends elements from Diablo-style online multiplayer, while integrating some MMO elements. The cities and certain dungeon entrances are basically hubs, but once you exit those areas for the wide expanses of desert, rolling hills, and snowy mountains, you'll be flying solo, most of the time. "

Indifferent Clox 08-10-2009 03:08 AM

I suppose, but they should pay for that with extra add ons you can buy in game like more customization or extra items or extra little places etc.

Indifferent Clox 08-10-2009 03:10 AM

I don't have a credit card either.

so there is no pvp in guild wars?

Oh you mean like, all the patches they put out for it(not just WoW, all MMO's), that add new things to do, new items, etc.

Save 30 bucks, go to Walmart, and buy a 60 day game card every 2 months.

Indifferent Clox 08-10-2009 03:14 AM

Ok i will do this eventually when i am employed.

Untill then back to the question at hand.. is there a server I might find that is reliable?

Fignuts 08-10-2009 03:16 AM

Yeah, never played an mmo, but it wasn't because of having to pay a subscription. Not directly anyway. I'm just not into rpgs enough. I don't think I'd play it enough to warrant paying the subscription, as small as it may be.

I would however buy the new star wars mmo, if that comes to consoles. But it won't.

LoDownM 08-10-2009 03:16 AM

A free one? I don't know, the only private server I've ever played on was my own.

Indifferent Clox 08-10-2009 03:35 AM

You have your won private server?

LoDownM 08-10-2009 04:02 AM

Like 2 years ago.

D Mac 08-10-2009 04:31 AM

If Star Wars: The Old Republic is good, I'll be subscribing and playing the shit out of it.

D Mac 08-10-2009 04:32 AM

Also the Star Trek MMO.

D Mac 08-10-2009 04:32 AM

Has anyone here played that Conan MMO? I thought it was supposed to be coming to the 360.

Hanso Amore 08-10-2009 10:25 AM

Conan is aight, not nearly as good as LOTRO or Vanguard or even EVE. It by far has the most amazing Graphics in an MMO ever. The classes are cool too, im just not that into it.

Fuck WOW.

Indifferent Clox 08-22-2009 01:17 PM

ok went to the fucking wal mart, and no mine doesn't have WOW cards. So wtf.
