But it comes with a ring apron!

FourFifty 08-13-2009 05:03 AM

I figured $114 was high enough without mentioning their price or the list price.

Crazy Nick 08-13-2009 05:03 AM

That's a bit overpriced in my opinion, what do you guys think?

An astute observation

FourFifty 08-13-2009 05:05 AM

The ring is pricey
An astute observation
Cheaper at Wal Mart

damn right lol

Xero 08-13-2009 10:23 AM

Authentic floor padding? At least my figures will be safe when they battle around the ring.

Fabien Barthez 08-13-2009 10:28 AM

When does it arrive, FourFifty?

Xero 08-13-2009 10:29 AM

Yeah, Money450?

You'd have to be high to pay $114 for it

Volare 08-13-2009 11:06 AM

So Brian Kendrick should have it by now then right?

Anybody Thrilla 08-13-2009 11:10 AM

What Danny isn't telling us is that he's still going to purchase it.

Anybody Thrilla 08-13-2009 11:12 AM

According to one of the reviews (lol, btw) the free gifts are Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder figures.

Lord-Of-Darkness 08-13-2009 11:27 AM

Um....I bought this for my son for Christmas. It cost me £20. I also bought him the 'Wrestlemania Pack' of 6 wrestlers (HHH, HBK, Undertaker, Edge, Batista and Cena, if I remember correctly), which cost a further £10.

How odd

Anybody Thrilla 08-13-2009 11:28 AM

Did yours have the authentic apron, though?

Lord-Of-Darkness 08-13-2009 11:29 AM

BTW, the cell is a bitch to build each time if you have no where to store it. And the lever for the trap door always pops out when the trapdoor opens.

My 4 year old enjoys it, but no way should anyone pay that much for it

'Raw Ring Skirt & Outside authentic Floor Padding'

The ring skirt is literally just stickers with 'Raw' 'Smackdown' 'Armaggeddon' and 'WWE.COM' for each side. Along with a 'WWE' logo for the centre of the ring.

The floor padding is also just the ringside mats, which are made from thin plastic, and just used to support the cell walls

Anybody Thrilla 08-13-2009 11:39 AM

I miss my old school WWF ring. :(

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EH6LaujzYs...400/9227_1.JPG

That picture pretty much sums up my childhood.

Fabien Barthez 08-13-2009 11:51 AM

Me too. I had every single one of those figures.

redoneja 08-13-2009 11:52 AM

I was never a fan of the BEND'EMS or whatever they were called. I liked the older ones from the really early 90's and then the 6" figures that came out in like late 95-96.

Anybody Thrilla 08-13-2009 11:54 AM

My favorites were the ones in the ring on the right in the above picture.

BDR 08-13-2009 11:54 AM

LOL at the #6 top seller "john cena spiral notebook"

Fabien Barthez 08-13-2009 11:55 AM

I used to double Million Dollar Man up as The Fink, and Big BossMan as a ref.

School will be back in session, soon. Not so surprising, really.

CSL 08-13-2009 11:59 AM

WWE.com can have some daft prices but they also have some great stuff. DVD prices are usually very good, especially if you wait a few months. They'll sometimes do DVD bundles too, which are usually mad cheap. EuroShop can have some great stuff too, I picked up Terry Funk, RVD and Londrick T-shirts for under £10 combined

Fabien Barthez 08-13-2009 12:05 PM

Do they get regular wear?

good days :(

In a match between Sid Vicious and Virgil, Virgil was getting dominated. Completely destroyed. Sid would make a cover and pull him up at two before laughing and powerbombing the shit out of him. He repeated this upwards of five times. Referee Ed Brown (played by a Bruce Wayne figure) was pleading with Sid to stop, but Sid basically told him to fuck off and continued his onslaught.

In a move uncharacteristic of Sid, he made his way to the top rope. To this day, no one will ever know what he was thinking of doing (most likely a flying big boot ). Virgil was compltely knocked out in the middle of the ring. Ed Brown ran to the corner and BEGGED Sid not to jump. Sid yelled back and forth with the referee, all the while not realizing that Brown had been administering a five count for Sid being on the ropes. Brown signaled for the bell and awarded the match to Virgil via disqualification.

Sid was FURIOUS. In the following weeks, Sid would come out during matches that Ed Brown was reffing, and every time Ed Brown would run away through the crowd, fearing for his life. This happened for a long time until finally Ed Brown decided that he wasn't going to run anymore. He challenged Sid to a match!

Sid was thrilled. He'd finally get his revenge. Turns out Ed Brown won via roll up, though.

I don't know why I felt compelled to type that. Nostalgia trip, I guess. That was sorta like a face Danny Davis storyline.

I want to say I saw this at Wal Mart in the Clearance Aisle for $35 earlier this year but it might have been the Elimination Chamber ring set and not Hell in a Cell.
