despite the starpower, the trailer makes it seem cheap and generic.

i heard they asked both him and seagall but they hate each other so neither did it.

the backstory sounded quite fun too :'( something to do with JCVD kicking seagall into a pool after seagall offered him out :'(

Well according to imdb Van Dam declined because he though his character had "no substance."

That's pretty lame.

I don't know. Most of the characters he plays has this story to them. I think he wanted a character with a deep history or story and not just some guy who kicks ass.

This is the movie where SCSA gave that teamster all pennies on a lost $10 sports bet.. They just finished shooting in NOLA a few weeks ago..

Holy cow. Now THAT is an action movie. Daaang......finally, a violent film without Hollywood pretty boys that look like they belong on MTV!

Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, and appearances by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.....all in one freakin' movie. I tell ya, if they could have gotten Kurt Russell to be in this film too, the cast of all my boyhood action heroes would have been complete.

Chuck Norris is needed as well! I read that Van Damme was offered a cameo spot, but it did not work out. I would have loved to have seen a Patrick Swayze cameo too. (No matter what the chicks may think, one of Swayze's first two biggest hits was The Outsiders and Red Dawn, which are guy movies, so he belonged to the guy genre of films first.)
