NNNOOOOO!!!!.......Wait that was awesome (Drew McIntyre)

I was watching some of Smackdown and when I saw Drew McIntyre just kinda standing in the ring of the comercial break and then R-Truth rappping his way out there and I was thinkin NO, he's just gonna be a faceless jobber to Pretty Ricky and then he finally did what we all wanted to do. He ran up and kicked R-Truth in the head mid rap and DDTed him. I also like the fact that he didnt play up his scottish accent too much (it sounded like the ate a bunch of rock salt in FCW). I liked Drew with Dave Taylor a few years back, what do you think of him in all?

screech 08-28-2009 11:48 PM

Haven't seen enough of him to make a fair judgment. My outlook is positive, though.

Juan 08-28-2009 11:51 PM

I'm a big McIntyre fan.

Mr. Nerfect 08-29-2009 12:00 AM

I haven't seen enough of him to make a personal opinion, but a lot of people seem high enough on him for me to be interested in him. He's really fucking young, got some experience under his wing, has a good look, etc. There's no reason he cannot be a solid talent for SmackDown!. Hayes will book him right, too.

That was actually pretty sweet. Drew looks great, gear is nice too. Love that DDT as well. Amazes me seeing him and Sheamus on TV considering where they were 3 years ago.

Juan 08-29-2009 12:16 AM

I really hope they end up working an angle with him and Roddy Piper.

Mr. Nerfect 08-29-2009 12:25 AM

I would love to see Drew McIntyre align himself with CM Punk, actually. I know many people would not be with me on that, but all they need to do is exaggerate the truth about their backgrounds training under The Blue Bloods, and perhaps pass McIntyre off as an old training buddy of Punk's.

Roddy Piper could show up on SmackDown! talking about the new Scottish wrestler he's heard about, and McIntyre can call him a drunk, an embarrassment to Scotland, and a man that was never good enough to win the WWE Title -- before beating him down.

But next week, I'd have him actually wrestle R-Truth, and take all Truth's signature offense and looking like a tough customer before a Scissors Kick finally puts him down for the three. R-Truth looks impressed by McIntyre, and raises his hand after the match, before McIntyre attacks Truth from behind, and leaves him laying with a Double-Arm DDT. McIntyre can then win a match against Truth in week three via disqualification, etc.

By that do you mean Piper is his manager or him wrestling Piper? Because a match with Piper is a horrible idea.

Juan 08-29-2009 12:29 AM

No, Piper should never wrestle again.

RP 08-29-2009 12:42 AM

Forgive me for not really following wrestling much. But are you reffering to a jobber? Cause 1 ) if they're running jobbers out there now.. thats great imo. I dont know why it just is. 2) if a jobber actually won, thats amazing and i would love to see that.

Juan 08-29-2009 12:44 AM

Nah, Drew McIntyre is a wrestler that has been under a developmental contract for a couple of years.

CSL 08-29-2009 12:46 AM

I think that's what they were aiming for though, people were supposed to think that Drew was there to do a job, 'shock factor' if you weeeee-ll

Juan 08-29-2009 12:47 AM

True

Londoner 08-29-2009 01:03 AM

I liked the way they started with him.

Skippord 08-29-2009 01:07 AM

that DDT was pretty cool looking

Gertner 08-29-2009 07:53 PM

Loved that ddt.

muffalufagus 08-29-2009 07:57 PM

i marked for that ddt.

Afterlife 08-29-2009 08:05 PM

Oh, he did a ddt?

Mr. Nerfect 08-30-2009 12:01 AM

Skippord 08-30-2009 12:08 AM

I didn't want to kick R-Truth in the head

I like R-Truth

kind of

Mr. Nerfect 08-30-2009 12:09 AM

It's just that the party is over, is all.

Afterlife 08-30-2009 12:29 AM

I thought it was very liberating; I've wanted to kick R-Truth in the face for rapping, as well.

Dave Youell 08-30-2009 06:36 AM

So weird to think that I met him when he was started out and I'd been wrestling longer than him at that time, of course, since then he's done amazingly well for himself, fair play to the lad.

311 08-30-2009 10:43 AM

The was probably the best double-arm DDT I've ever seen.

Usually it's the poor man's ddt.

NoRoolz 08-30-2009 11:01 AM

I like his attire.

Afterlife 08-30-2009 05:34 PM

I like his accent. :swoon:

Stealth-Icon 08-30-2009 05:45 PM

This was the first time that I have seen him that I am aware of, but first impressions go a long way. Just for the fact that he kicked that horrible want a be rapper in the head while trying to get in the ring, he has become someone I am very interested in and hope that can go a long way. I really wished that the ref would have rung the bell one his worthless body was in the ring so Drew could have finished up the DDT with a pin. That would have been even better.

Ron Killings is a talented guy, don't hate on him. He's just doing his job.

Afterlife 08-31-2009 07:31 PM

And I hate what he does.
