Something they could do for Bragging Rights

Instead of that stupid interactive shit, I mean. If the WWE wants themes for their PPVs, who not make the BR PPV about "brand bragging rights?" Have a series of inter-promotional matches (mainly Champion vs. Champion) with the show being closed by the WWE Champion vs. ECW Champion vs. World Heavyweight Champion in a "Champion of Champions Match."

The card could end up looking something like this:

Champion of Champions Match
John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Christian

RAW Icon vs SmackDown! Icon
Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker II

RAWvs SmackDown!
Randy Orton vs. Batista

SmackDown! vs ECW
Rey Mysterio vs. The Hurricane

RAW vs ECW
Triple H vs. William Regal

Unified WWE Tag Team Championship
Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. MVP & Mark Henry vs. Cryme Tyme vs. The Round Table

Intercontinental Champion vs United States Champion
John Morrison vs. Kofi Kingston

Women's Champion vs Divas Champion
Michelle McCool vs. Mickie James

You have the Champion vs. Champion Matches, and then you have a rematch from WrestleMania XX between two men associated with their brands. You then move now into a sort of round robin tournament where each possible brand match-up is explored. Triple H and William Regal have their past together, The Hurricane and Rey Mysterio are both the masked faces of their brand, and Batista and Randy Orton always want to kill each other. Finally you have Chris Jericho & Big Show defending the Tag Team Titles against a team from every brand.

Shitty idea?

The Jayman 09-15-2009 11:50 AM

not a shitty idea but it is wishful thinking

Mr. Nerfect 09-15-2009 11:51 AM

Oh, by no means do I think it has a chance of happening. I just think that would make a pretty good card, to be honest. :o

thedamndest 09-15-2009 11:53 AM

HBK v. Taker II is not happening at WWE Bragging Rights.

Mr. Nerfect 09-15-2009 11:58 AM

See two posts above.

DaveBrawl 09-15-2009 12:11 PM

It sounds like a good idea, certainly better than whatever they will likely do with it, my only thing is the champ vs. champ matchs seems better suited (to me at least) to Night of Champions.

kareru 09-15-2009 12:12 PM

we all know there is going to be
2 smackdown matches one of witch involves c.m punk
1 ecw match
and the rest is raw matches consisting of cena vs orton is some shape or form

and that my friends is what we call the wwe ppv formula

+1 midget segment that is not funny, entertaining or purpose serving in anyway whatsoever

and the lack of John Morrison

Wolfpack423 09-15-2009 03:03 PM

That sounds like a very good PPV, I could see a champion of champions main event only. But i like the concept of champion vs. champion. HBK-Taker II would probably be at the next three hour RAW or at a bigger PPV. I would order that PPV card!!! It looks very good on paper.

thedamndest 09-15-2009 03:05 PM

Would it make your list of Top 10 PPV cards created by Noid?

Kami Raki 09-15-2009 03:14 PM

So is Bragging Rights going to be Brand Warfare or is that just a lucky guess?

addy2hotty 09-15-2009 03:16 PM

I wuldn't buy a PPV with one title match on it. Simples.

This is probably the most well thought out and intelligent thing I've ever seen from the Noid.

The point isn't titles. It's for "Bragging Rights".

Nicky Fives 09-15-2009 03:44 PM

I would literally cum in my pants if this card happened.....

The Gold Standard 09-15-2009 04:02 PM

Overall I love the idea. However, as discussed it probably won't happen.

I really wish it would though.

Waylander 09-15-2009 05:29 PM

It's a good idea I reckon but I unforunatly don't see it happening. I don't see how they could build-up this parperview either, would they have run-ins from ever show?

Droford 09-15-2009 05:41 PM

Orton vs Cena (Pick the Special Ref)
DX vs Legacy (Pick the outcome for losers)
Punk vs ??? (Pick the opponent)
WSMVP vs Big Show/Jericho (Pick the stipulation)

screech 09-15-2009 05:46 PM

Love the card, Noid :y:

I like the idea of this.

In fact, I love the idea of creating as much 'distinct identities' for each of the PPV's as much as possible. That way, the fans can expect that they'll be seeing something unique at each of the different PPV's....and that no PPV is just another typical ho-hum run-of-the-mill type shit.

Heros Welcome 09-15-2009 05:56 PM

If only Noid.....if only.

Great idea though.

PapaGeorgio 09-15-2009 07:17 PM

The only issue with that is the build up would basically put all other storylines on hold.

Triple Naitch 09-15-2009 07:38 PM

Who is The Round Table?

That's something I thought about, but the WWE would only realistically have about three weeks between Hell in a Cell and Bragging Rights. Maybe four. A lot of the matches build themselves up. The Champion vs. Champion Matches don't really need to have Morrison and Kofi running in on each other's matches. Simple promos can do it. Kingston and Morrison can keep their other programs going on the side, with the blow-off to them being delayed until just after their match.

You can also keep guys like Dolph Ziggler in the picture, whining about how he is not in the round robin tournament, or something.

The team of Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson. They have been serving as the muscle for William Regal on ECW.

Funky Fly 09-15-2009 07:48 PM

That's actually a pretty sweet card. And not a single mention of Doug Basham or Val Venis.

Kidding, kidding.

Oh, don't worry, they run-in during the Unified WWE Tag Team Title Match and are crucial to the outcome of the main event. ;)

Triple Naitch 09-15-2009 08:16 PM

I actually really like the premise of the PPV.
