kareru 09-20-2009 01:02 AM

vince russo could probably kill the ratings of the superbowl

Theo Dious 09-20-2009 01:02 AM

He'd make himself QB.

Theo Dious 09-20-2009 01:03 AM

And then he'd turn and run the ball to the opposite goal line and hand it off to a member of the opposite team.

Theo Dious 09-20-2009 01:03 AM

And then he'd cut a promo on the fans and storm out of the arena.

kareru 09-20-2009 01:08 AM

he's hang something at the top of the goalpost and tell the players to retrieve it and then you win

kareru 09-20-2009 01:11 AM

"I'm going to tell you something right now that you will absolutely not agree with, but I've been a wrestling fan my whole life and I will live and die by this. It's hard enough, believe me, I write this shit, it is hard enough to get somebody over. You will never ever, ever, ever, ever see the Japanese wrestlers or the Mexican wrestlers over in American mainstream wrestling. I’m an American. If I’m watching wrestling here in America, I don’t give a shit about a Japanese guy. I don’t give a shit about a Mexican guy. I’m from America, and that’s what I want to see."
— Vince Russo, WCW booker (1999).

"Do you know how many [copies of The Death Of WCW] I've autographed [...] and when the people come up to me with the book, they're scared to death! And I'm like, "are you kidding me, gimme the book, I'll sign it!"."
— Vince Russo on his greatest accomplishment (2006).

What really makes this shit sad is that some people's paychecks rely on this man in TNA. Would you put your family's future in the hands of this man?

Anybody Thrilla 09-20-2009 02:14 AM

Give him all the shit you want, but he's not the one that keeps himself employed.

If you crafted a spectrum about people's views towards how wrestling should be, it would probably look something like this:

Wrestling.....<|Cornette|--------------------|Center|-----|McMahon|---------|Heyman|------|Russo|>.....Entertainment

Anybody Thrilla 09-20-2009 12:19 PM

I'd probably flip McMahon and Heyman there.

Theo Dious 09-20-2009 12:31 PM

I really don't see how the guy who built a whole company around EXTREEEEEME! is further from entertainment than Vince.

Heyman was definitely more wrestling-oriented than Vince. Vince coined the term 'sports entertainment' even.

CSL 09-20-2009 12:44 PM

Vince is definitely more entertainment than Heyman. The guy is literally ashamed of the word 'wrestling'

Despite the fact the companies named world wrestling entertainment. :wtf:

I think its more he hates the word "wrestler" as he thinks that theyre more than that, see wwe's line of shitty movies for full details.

While The Pidget does present a fine spectrum, the problem lies in the fact that it needs to have another line in the center going up and down for traditional and non traditional. While McMahon is more towards entertainment he's more for traditional entertainment. Paul Heyman, on the other hand, leans more towards non-traditional entertainment. This proposed revised spectrum allows room for yard tards and CZW, as well as show how Cornette is up there with tradation.

Triple Naitch 09-20-2009 09:11 PM

Pretty sure Tedious found a new IBFF.

Anybody Thrilla 09-20-2009 09:56 PM

Yard tards don't deserve room in any spectrum.

Vastardikai 09-21-2009 12:20 AM

Because Jim Cornette lost his job because he had a blowup with Russo.

Skippord 09-21-2009 02:14 AM

he deserved to lose his job

Skippord 09-21-2009 02:14 AM

also I hate Russo because of those sandals

KYR 09-21-2009 03:17 AM

The difference between Vince Russo and God is that God DOESN'T think He's Vince Russo.
