RUUUUUUUUMAGA!
From PWInsider:
Tickets for the Hulkamania tour of Australia will go on sale this Wednesday with a Tuesday Internet pre-sale. The top names advertised for the tour after Hogan and Ric Flair are, in this order, Brutus Beefcake, Rumaga (Eddie "Umaga" Fatu), Vampire Warrior (Dave "Gangrel" Heath), Kishi (Rikishi), The Nasty Boys, Jimmy Hart and Lacey Von Erich. Advertising for the tour claims Hogan personally picked the "20" wrestlers who will appear. The tour dates are: Saturday 11/21 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Tuesday 11/24 at the Burswood Dome in Perth Thursday 11/26 at the Brisbane Entertainment Center in Brisbane Saturday 11/28 at the Acer Arena in Sydney |
And while we're at it, any of you Aussies gonna FELL THE POWER OF HULKAMANIA, BROTHER?
Those string of shows are gonna be a disaster.
This is true.
He personally picked the 20 wrestlers who said 'yes, I need the money'. |

You mean they don't pay you to go?
Apparently not.
Rumaga? Is that really the best they can do?
In honour of the Australian tour it should be Roomaga.
Umaga 2000
Umaga gimmick but he's also a robot. Paint him silver. |
We're gonna need more paint.
Umagatron could work.
U-Megatron
I wouldn't mind seeing Hulk live, but the rest of the card is a bit "meh".
To be honest, it doesn't sound too bad. I mean, the stars are actually pretty good stars. I'd rather see a lot of them than Nicky X-Hardcore from whatever indy promotion. There's a grand feeling to the tour.
Part of me does wish that this sort of re-sparks Hogan and Bischoff's interest in starting their own promotion. They could perhaps get Ric Flair and Jim Cornette in on it. Make a lot of plays for top talent who can still work, and try and get some independent talent in on the scene. It'd be just like TNA, except with more money. |
WTF at Gangrel and The Nasty Boys still wrestling lol.
I thought Gangrel was happy with his new job in directing or producing porn. I forget which it was.

I wish Eddie Fatu would move away from the Umaga/Rumaga gimmick, and sort of embrace a more human persona. Yeah, he played the savage better than it had any right to be, but the guy was so fearsome and credible in the ring that I feel he could be quite the star. I feel that the character is a bit of an achor, really.
TNA should look into signing the guy, if they can. He's one of those guys who can pretty much work in any divison TNA has. He along with Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy -- although those two have a much, much smaller chance of signing with TNA. |

I am trying to think of who is still capable of a tour, who isn't employed by Vince, isn't a Vince loyal and doesn't plan on working for him in the future. And is free to do it. I can only think of Waltman and Goldberg. Maybe DDP as well. Goldberg knocked it back because of the money offered... So maybe this is as close to as good as it could have ever been, for what it is. If they did it in England, I reckon I would go. |
Youmanga.
RVD has an open door policy with Vince. He isn't going to TNA for shit.

I don't know if appearing on this tour is exactly a kiss of death to talent wanting to get back into the WWE, though. I mean, it's just a venture Hogan is doing to make money. At the risk of sounding like Noid, there are plenty of misused guys over the years that could do it (U-Gene, Basham & Damaja, Rob Conway, etc.). DDP has actually been rumoured for it, as has Sean Morley, Paul Wright and Ken Anderson. I think Anderson is an especially good pick, as he can work, and he was actually sort of somebody. They also reached out to Jeff Hardy, which is not very likely, but again, Jeff is probably big enough to get away with doing it. He doesn't plan on going back to the WWE immediately, and he has his messes to clear up. |
Who is Paul Wright?
I thought they all ready had Ric Flair.

Yeah, Big Show is Paul Wight.
Definitely should've gone with Youmanga.
It should be Roomaga and he should look like the offspring of a Samoan Bulldozer and a Kangaroo.

Didgeridoomaga.

Charles Wright, Noid. :p
Holy fuck, you're actually right. For some reason I had always thought it was Paul Wright. And not because of Big Show. I've got no clue where I got that from. Is his middle name Paul, or something?
Oh yeah! Hulkamania coming to my city! Can't freakin wait!
My intelligence has been insulted twice in this thread, and I demand some apologies.
Vampire Warrior is so jobbing to Hogan here
He should have a crazy alcoholic samoan beast and chug on rum inbetween whooping asses.
Woo Woo Woomaga
