Who should be next for a "You've just been MADE" moment?

You know what I'm talking about. I feel Jeff was kind of transformed into a main eventer after his Swanton off the stage on Orton. Orton was 'made' into the baddest ass motherfucker ever when he punted Vince. Matt Hardy was on fire after he did the side effect to Edge off the stage (Even though they didn't capitalise on it). Foley getting tossed off the cage and getting up proved he's pretty much unbreakable. The moments that made you silent for a second while watching.

Who's next? What would you do and how would you do it?

Sixx 09-22-2009 01:47 PM

Morrison.

Beat the shit out of CM Punk at a PPV. And win not by rollup, but his finisher (should get a new one btw).

FourFifty 09-22-2009 01:47 PM

Instead of having a ridiculous high spot to make somebody here's an unorthodox idea...
Wrestling fans watch wrestling shows to watch wrestlers wrestle. Let someone like Jack Swagger be "made" by out wrestling everyone. Let him get a clean pinfall over Cena, HHH, or Orton. Hell, maybe they can do that with a guy like CM Punk also?

Nark Order 09-22-2009 01:50 PM

Well, it doesn't HAVE to be a high spot. I could've just as easily included the SCSA Beer truck incident.

FourFifty 09-22-2009 01:54 PM

I still stand by my statement of wrestling fans wanting to watch a wrestling show to watch wrestlers wrestle.
Then again, after last night's historic Monday Night Raw I'm pretty bitter with the mainstream industry right now.
What made is historic? Not even the guy with the god damn wrestling mask tattoo was going to watch it.

Nark Order 09-22-2009 01:59 PM

I dunno, I feel if I watched wrestling JUST for wrestling I would hate pretty much everybody in the current WWE right now.

Sadly, that's a true statement. There aren't that many wrestlers left.

Indifferent Clox 09-22-2009 04:01 PM

Do you guys realize the best wrestler in the world will soon be in WWE?

FourFifty 09-22-2009 04:18 PM

Do you realize that "best" is a subjective term in this case?

Fixed.

Indifferent Clox 09-22-2009 06:58 PM

No, fourfifty, he is it.

As far as capitalizing on certain moments, I would argue that NONE of the wrestlers that you mentioned, with the exception of Foley, were fully capitalized on. I don't want to beat on a dead horse, but I still believe that the WWE could have done a better job with Jeff Hardy (although in retrospect, perhaps it was a good idea that they didn't). Orton's momentum was also derailed due to bad booking).

Anyway, I think the next "You have just been made" moment should go to John Cena.....through a shocking and exciting heel turn of sorts (a la Austin/Hogan).

John Morrison doing something amazing as a face (i.e. a clean and hard fought interpromotional victory over Shawn Michaels) would also be cool.

Rammsteinmad 09-22-2009 07:49 PM

On the subject of wrestlers wrestling etc, where the fuck is Shelton Benjamin? I feel like I haven't seen or heard of him in AGES!

Mr. Nerfect 09-23-2009 05:33 AM

Shelton Benjamin should have been MADE after he beat Triple H when he moved over to RAW. Alas. But yeah, the WWE often misses out on these moments, and is quite often to de-rail a lot of guys because of it.

I think that CM Punk has got the chance to have one of those moments at Hell in a Cell. Imagine if he not only beats The Undertaker, but he actually makes him tap-out or something inside the Cell? That would be bad-ass, and Punk would really have something to say "I told you so" about then.

By turning heel, John Cena could get one of those moments. But he actually doesn't have anyone compelling enough to turn heel against right now.

Skippord 09-23-2009 06:56 AM

If CM Punk shot the Undertaker with a gun he would be made

Sixx 09-23-2009 07:11 AM

If I shot you with a gun you'd be PUNK'D.

That'd make me mark out.

Indifferent Clox 09-23-2009 09:25 AM

ECW is awesome, shelton is on that.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-23-2009 09:58 AM

Either Morrison or Christian could be made by winning the Royal Rumble.

Johnny Vegas 09-23-2009 11:01 AM

As far as Shelton goes, he definitely should've been MADE when he beat HHH. Hell, the Gold Rush Tournament match with HBK was not only i think the MOTY in '05, but as a televised, 1-fall match, probably the best i've seen in the WWE in like 5 years. It was matches like those that make you tune in to RAW because you'll never know when you'll get a match like that. That match came out of nowhere.

And hopefully, they will capitalize on Morrison's abilities. He's had some pretty good matches with people. I think HBK is going to be the one to "make" him. There is no one else who can, other than him facing Cena at WM for the title. Can you imagine the atmosphere of a main event between Morrison/HBK or Morrison/Cena? If Morrison were to kick out of 2 AA's would just make me wet my shorts.

Indifferent Clox 09-23-2009 11:12 AM

Johnny Vegas, do you watch ROH or any of the indies?

Sixx 09-23-2009 11:20 AM

Fuck the indies.

They lack "The Bold and Beatiful" part.

I like this. It worked for Angle and Eddie, and with a lack of personality or charisma, it certainly did wonders for Benoit.

thedamndest 09-23-2009 01:11 PM

People tend to forget that Shelton is a bad talker and tends to fuck up in high profile situations. There are two reasons why he has never risen beyond the mid-card level.

Johnny Vegas 09-23-2009 01:15 PM

He'll get better. Trust me.
