Peep Show

Oh shit there is a new season on now apparently? Episode 1 of season 6 is on torrent sites. This is incredible. I thought the show was "over" for some reason.

I really really love this show and this is amazing news.

Triple A 09-22-2009 06:10 PM

Nice, and a seventh season has been "commissioned" according to Wikipedia.

Ogen 09-22-2009 06:18 PM

Its the best comedy around by a long way, is it on in America or do you know of it through the internet only? First episode of the new series was a tiny bit disappointing really but high hopes as always.

The look Jeremy gives Sophie when he and Mark go to confront her was a particular highlight.

Triple A 09-22-2009 06:24 PM

Just through the internet. "Series" 5 in general was the weakest of them all for me but it was still amazing.

Was the show supposed to be over after the 5th season? Or am I just imagining that

Ogen 09-22-2009 06:26 PM

Not that I know of, I was patiently awaiting more of them anyway.

XL 09-24-2009 09:21 AM

TBH I kinda thought it was done too. Glad to see it back though. Props to anyone going through the net to find it!

CSL 09-24-2009 09:24 AM

Super Hans

Gray 09-25-2009 05:33 PM

Tonights episode was hilarious, its always fun watching a good train wreck :D.

The bit where Mark was disabling the doorbell was fucking hilarious

Ogen 09-25-2009 05:45 PM

That Elena was gorgeous.

Confused 09-26-2009 03:47 PM

The second episode was great. The moment Jez hatched his little plot to impress Elena it was a matter of time before we were cringeing in our seats. Just brilliant.

More Super Hans would be great. Oh, and Johnson.

Outsider 09-26-2009 04:21 PM

Yeah, was disappointed by the first episode, but last nights was fucking great. Probably helped that I was a little pissed though....

Buzzkill 09-28-2009 12:14 AM

Never heard of it but definitley sounds like something worth getting into based on what you guys are saying.

Where should I start? Season 1?

Triple A 09-28-2009 12:20 AM

Yeah def gotta start from the beginning. There are a lot of continuous storylines. Also only 6 episodes per season.

Fabien Barthez 10-02-2009 09:11 PM

If you are british, and never seen it, every episode is on 4od.

About to watch episode 3 of the new series.

And then it will be half way through :(

Triple A, it was 16 months between series, as apposed to the usual 12 due to a contract with the BBC that had them air the 3rd series of That Mitchell and Webb look in the spring, thus pushing back Peep Show, which is produced with Channel 4, to the Autumn, in the void left by the main Big Brother shows, which I guess is considered a more coverted spot in the realms of British TV.

Jon Kano 10-02-2009 10:07 PM

Been a loyal fan of this show since its inception.

Not a single episode that isn't funny, or a series that lacks anything.

So unique, so funny, and so creepily true.

Loved the first two, missed the third tonight, anyone got a link?

PS. and I love it that various USA and other misc citizens also love it.

Fabien Barthez 10-03-2009 07:48 AM

Kano, I said how Brits can watch it in the post above yours. 4od ffs!

Jon Kano 10-03-2009 04:53 PM

Man, fuck 4OD.

www.ninjavideo.net

Fabien Barthez 10-03-2009 08:31 PM

Yeah, fuck 4od and their brilliant stream quality, and they absolute guarentee of no spyware, bots, or other nastiness.

Jon Kano 10-03-2009 08:39 PM

Actually that sounds pretty good, why are you dissing something that sounds so good?

I used to use 4OD to watch Teachers and other lost shows, kinda forgot about it really.

Fabien Barthez 10-03-2009 09:59 PM

Well, it isn't a Beta application anymore, it's entirely off the site like iplayer.

Rediscover the magic. They add new, old shit all the time. I would be lying if I said I hadn't seeked out a few classic episodes of Brookside.

The incest storyline, The husband under the patio. Man, those were some hilarious scousers...

I mark out for Ron Dixon like no other.

Right... except installing 4OD allows the program to use your PC as a p2p source, even when you're not watching anything.

NeanderCarl 10-06-2009 10:22 AM

Ron Dixon Reference Rep!

The first episode of new Peep Show was the weakest one I've ever seen. Where were the laughs in the first half? The second half was funnier, but too late to salvage the episode.

I was gutted. Peep Show has been my favourite currently running British comedy since its inception... I was thinking 'this show has lost its way'.

Luckily it's been back on form. Eps 2 and 3 were much much better.

Fabien Barthez 10-06-2009 10:26 AM

I thought the whole thing about Mark's Keyboard made the first half of the first episode pretty funny, plus when he was in his office, before the fire alarm. Textbook peepage IMO.

Fabien Barthez 10-06-2009 10:28 AM

Chuffed to bits I got some Brookie-love eventually. Mad skills, Neandercarl.

NeanderCarl 10-06-2009 10:37 AM

Okay, well it could still use your PC as a p2p; iPlayer certainly used to. Maybe not if you're not on the site though, in that case... not sure anymore.

NeanderCarl 10-06-2009 11:20 AM

I guess not... just spent an hour on 4oD watching Brookside (thanks for that, you maddening bastard!) and there appears to be no sneaky little processes worming their way into my PC so... it seems to be all gravy nowadays.

Fabien Barthez 10-06-2009 12:03 PM

Haha! Cane the Brooky lad, cane the Brooky.

iplayer only used to if you had the download application.

Gray 10-16-2009 05:33 PM

Hah best episode so far tonight

Snake in salad spinner = win

Ogen 10-16-2009 05:45 PM

Yeah excellent tonight

El Vaquero de Infierno 10-16-2009 05:53 PM

Peep show is one of those programmes which i have never got round to watching, but always mean to.

Triple A 10-16-2009 05:54 PM

Gonna wait til next week and just watch them all at once. Glad that it is sounding good.

Put wins in spoiler tags.

Dave Youell 10-16-2009 06:21 PM

It's a rental snake

Gray 10-16-2009 07:32 PM

Speaking of Channel4 and what not, a friend passed this onto me earlier.

http://youtubeukblog.blogspot.com/20...gth-shows.html

I dont know if Youtube will only allow UK residents to watch the programmes, much like iPlayer/4onDemand, but with it being an actual Youtube channel i find that highly unlikely...

Ogen 10-16-2009 08:24 PM

It'll be restricted, I occasionally come across videos that can't be viewed from Ireland as it is.

Triple A 10-26-2009 04:12 AM

Watched them all last night, great season.

wtf though, is it over? Fucking "unfinished" ending to this series.

Party episode and the 2nd ep, where Mark was gonna "bang" Dobbie were the best.

<3 Dobbie

Apparently there is an American version of this being written for Spike TV by the same creators of the show. Damn

Champion of Europa 10-26-2009 05:39 AM

I have never seen this show, but your endorsement is enough for me to download series one.

Your endorsement and all this new hard drive space I have just sitting around doing nothing and touching itself.

Ogen 10-26-2009 12:06 PM

Didn't like the ending really but solid series, an improvement back to the better days really. Think they've already confirmed one more series also.

Jon Kano 10-26-2009 01:07 PM

Was a good season, but defo not their best, but still very good.

Hate the fact each season is only 6 episodes.
