WWE has sent out a new survey to people on their mailing list, with the main question being the following:
The following questions refer to a WWE event that would feature "Elimination Chamber" matches for the main events on the card. The "Elimination Chamber" is a circular steel structure with 4 inner "pods." In this match, 2 Superstars begin in the ring while 4 Superstars are isolated in the pods. The isolated Superstars are released from their "pods" throughout the match.

How much do you like the following titles for a future WWE event where the main event matches are contested in an Elimination Chamber?

The choices are:
- Battle Chamber
- Heavy Metal
- No Way Out
- Elimination Chamber
- Chamber of Conflict

So it would appear WWE is, at the very least, considering a name change to the No Way Out Pay-per-view in February, which for the past few years has featured the Elimination Chamber in the main event.

Devin Cutting sent word that World Wrestling Entertainment is now advertising their February PPV as "WWE Elimination Chamber." The PPV was formerly known as No Way Out.

Everything there sounds like a WCW idea outside of No Way Out, which is a good name.

Battle Chamber? Seriously? What would that be about, having the guys fight each other in Robot Wars style matches, only with them as the robots?

It's definitely not necessary, unless they wanted to go with something like "No Way Out: Elimination Chamber". That would tell you how the main event would be contested while not compromising the integrity of the original name of the pay-per-view.

But since they've been doing the Chamber at No Way Out for a few years now, shouldn't it be understood that it will be there?

This name change is a ridiculous idea.

That really is the only gimmick left to pull out. That and World War 3.

Try explaining that to a casual fan, and I guarantee before you finish they'll have 1,000 other questions, so yeah, hardcore or even just semi-regular viewers would know the concept, but not casual fans taking it in for the first time.

"Hey why's it called No Way Out? Oh maybe because of those big fucking cages they wrestle in. That makes sense!"

WWE should just pay to name it, WWE BEYOND THUNDERDOME!

I voted No Way Out.
All the other names suck. No Way Out should remain the Chamber PPV, and could be pushed as a major PPV.

No Way Out is perfect for a PPV designed around the Elimination Chamber. No need to ask the idiots in the WWEverse what they think.......

this is ridiculous...... changing names of PPV's is not going to make a diffenrence, I hope that this is just a trial run and everything will be back to normal in 2010..... but I do have my concerns....

This renaming stuff is getting/gotten ridiculous!

I can see the the reasoning behind ammending a PPV name to match the stipulation (see Breaking Point). I can just about bare changing the name of a PPV to that of a match type ( see Hell in a Cell). But changing the name of a PPV that already works with the gimmick...pointless.

Makes me think of that show Battle Dome and makes me wonder why they didnt pick that title lol
