Where is the love for Eric Clapton?
Okay, I guess there was love for him in the first Guitar Hero with a pretty good cover of "Crossroads". And then in Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 2 there's "Sunshine of Your Love".
BUT THEN THAT'S IT. GTFO of here Harmonix and Activision. With the Queen track pack coming out, Eric Clapton is the only big name legend left without any songs in here. I don't even want to begin to list the shitty bands that have more songs than him. Metallica for one[/obligatory shot at DMac] But come the fuck on. The entire Layla album would much such great DLC. Disraeli Gears too. I'm pretty sure they're not saving him for a future game either. Which is more bullshit because it would be great to play as him. Or even at the Crossroads venue. I dunno. Post artists that are getting the shaft in music games I guess. |
Yeah these games need more Clapton.

Led Zep?
Floyd? |
that said, any Clapton masters would be fucking fantastic.

Led Zep warrants their own game. Floyd too but not as much as Zep. |
Led Zep would be the next logical step for a band specific game.
Anything else would be a huge let down. |
Guitar Hero should have Jericho's karoke cover of Enter Sandman.
Where's Piano Hero for Billy Joel and Elton John fans? |
Layla is a definite must have.
Need more Iggy Pop too. Majority of his songs would be a blast on guitar. |
Dire Straits are also amazing for the guitar parts. Too bad they are mostly recognized for that shitty I want my MTV song, because the rest of their stuff is way better.
|
I want some more Avenged Sevenfold, some of the older stuff. Second Heartbeat, Unholy Confession, Turn The Other Way. I just want some more Avenged.
|
Is it possible the problem's on Clapton's end? I don't remember if Sunshine was a cover, but since Crossroads is, it might just be a reason.

Hoping that when they see how well the beatles were handled, that they'll have a change of heart.

I'm not sure what is up with the Cream masters, but since it was all Tom Dowd's work, Atlantic has it somwhere. I know for a fact that all the multitracks for Layla still exist. (used to remix the album for the box set & SACD, and seen in Tom Dowd & the Language of Music) |
