Hart's refusal to job in Montreal and the resultant "Screwjob" have been so overplayed that it's becoming pathetic. Almost anytime Bret Hart gets mentioned on here two groups of equally idiotic posters seem to form: Those who are Hart marks to a ridiculous degree and those who are Hart haters to a ridiculous degree. Whether you liked or disliked his wrestling, good for you, I don't care whether you did or didn't.

But if you're going to single out one wrestler, whether it be Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, or HBK, for shit they did backstage, then you are seriously fucking stupid. Wrestlers throw their weight around backstage all the fucking time. It's the goddamn nature of the business. Does that make it ok? Who knows, that's not the point. His classic match with Stone Cold at Wrestlemania was my ultimate decision maker

I don't remember anybody else taking every known opportunity available to bitch about it for the next 10-12 years.

Bret Hart was a great in-ring performer but a mediocre promo man at best and a baby backstage. There's no way I could justify voting for him over Dibiase.

I don't want to argue, but think about this. Every time he is interviewed, what is the topic that is brought up? He doesn't get the chance to live it down because it's brought up every interview he's in. They just did a screw job at the last pay per view in Montreal, just to bring it up again.

I happen to think Bret's been a big baby about the whole thing, and he's just as responsible for the screwjob as anyone.

That being said, Bret/Piper, Bret/Owen, Bret/Bulldog, Bret/HBK, and Bret/Austin are some of the greatest matches in wrestling history and better than anything Dibiase has put out there.
