Judging from posts here some people loved it but now hate it, some people stuck with it, some people are just coming back to it. Best Family Member: Sardonic, alcoholic Brian from the original conception of the show would be my favorite family member, but he's gotten so whiny and preachy as the show has gone on that it's hard to like him at times. Still gonna pick him though.

Worst Family Member: Probably Lois. More annoying than funny really.

Best Regular: Lots to choose from here. Carter Pewterschmidt, Neil Goldman, Tom Tucker, Mr. Weed, Death, but I'm going to go with Adam West.

Worst Regular: Unfortunately, lots to choose from here too. Loretta Brown, Angela, Opie, the Vaudeville Players, but the worst is easily Herbert. Herbert is the perfect example of a joke that should've been used once and never seen again. Yet they continue to run it into the ground.

Best Family: I know it's crazy, but screw anyone who disagrees. Meg.
Worst Family: Chris.

Best Regular: If we're talking of all time, it would be Patty Tanager the caddy manager (yeah, it rhymes, BIGWHOOPWANNAFIGHDDABOUDIT?!)

Worst Regular: Ollie Williams (the screaming black Al Roker like weatherman for Quahog News 5).

Best Overall: Glenn Quagmire (Heh-heh, alright! Giggity-giggity-goo! OH!)
Worst Overall: Neil Goldman (the nerd who keeps trying to win over Meg).

Never seen the brother in family guy ever being funny.

Meg is far from the best but I don't think she is the worst. They haven't done anything with Chris in a long time. It seems for a while now he's just there because he's a part of the family. Meg on the other hand is at least the butt of a lot of jokes in which she ends up getting fart on, beaten up or blamed for things she never did.
