All-time favorite Tag Team match
What is your favorite tag team match of all time?
Mine would be: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H vs. Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho-perfect tag team match, my favorite tag team title match, and one of the best main events in RAW history. Everything gelled well. Triple H still allowed Jericho to put him in the Walls even though he just was injured. Austin' best WWE run in my opinion was 2001. HHH had reached his prime. Benoit and Jericho were getting bigger pushes and the crowd ate it up. |
Video. Go.

Wow. I thought that a match would just jump to mind for me here, but nothing really did. My tentative answer is Miz and Morrison vs. Carlito and Primo, but I'm sure that can't be right. I'll get back to you.
|
They are all kind of the same.
|
Anything involving LOD..well maybe not anything.
|
You heard it here first. DaveBrawl's vote is LOD vs. The Beverly Brothers.
|
I dare anyone to argue against it.
|
At first I thought that said the Bellamy Brothers...
|
If we're talking any type of tag match it'd be...
--The Embassy v. Generation Next (Steel Cage Warfare Match, ROH Steel Cage Warfare) But if you're talking about your classic 2 on 2 than... --The Hollywood Blondes (c) v. Dos Hombres (Cage Match for the NWA & WCW World Tag Team Championships, WCW Slamboree 1993) And if you're talking about classic 2 on 2 with no special stipulations than... --The Second City Saints (c) v. The Briscoes (2 of 3 Falls Match for the ROH Tag Team Championship, ROH Death Before Dishonor II: Day 1) ...and if you consider 2 of 3 falls a "special stipulation" than... --PAC & Roderick Strong (c) v. El Generico & Kevin Steen (for the PWG Tag Team Championship, PWG Giant Sized Annual #4) |
Don't see LOD in there...
|
I wish I had seen any of those matches.
|
I think the Hart Foundation and Demolition had a pretty good match.
|
Hart Foundation is a fitting substitute for LOD. You pass Thrilla.

I always really loved Benoit/Malenko vs Raven/Saturn from Spring Stampede in 1999 or 2000. i can't remember now. anyway:

RVD and Sabu vs Hayabusa and Shinzaki
|
HHH/Austin vs. Undertaker/Kane in 2001 where the WWE, IC & Tag Titles were all on the line..... always liked that one for some reason...

2001 in general was just a really good year in my opinion. To be honest, there weren't any bad PPVs in my opinion and I know I am in the minority but I enjoyed the Invasion. Everything prior to the Invasion was really good. Some of my all time favorite matches come from 2001. |

my favorite would have to be evan bourne and rey mysterio vs. miz and morrison on raw. the way rey and bourne worked together was phenominal!!

Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio and Edge from No Mercy 2002 is one of my favorites. Also still love TLC2, though that's obviously not a classic tag match.
Some of my favorite tag matches were the random Rey Mysterio & Billy Kidman vs. two random members of the LWO (sometimes Eddie) that were all over Nitro and Thunder in early 1999. |
Also this match:

Rockers vs. Barbarian and Haku at WM 7, followed closely by Rockers vs. Orient Express, Royal Rumble 1991.
|
In recent memory it has to be HBK and Rey vs The Miz and Morrison. The fact that The In Crowd went over took that match from great to awesome.
However, there's one slightly unremarkable tag match that has a special place in my heart. The LOD vs The Rockers on Superstars. If memory serves me correctly the ending was Hawk had Shawn up for a powerslam. Marty dropkicked Hawk in the back. Hawk fell forward, and pinned Shawn. The next time we saw The Rockers.... SPOILER: show |

They should have had two men in at a time who can tag anyone. |
Also, this match:

I have a few....
Hart Foundation vs. Demolition (2 out of 3 Falls - SummerSlam 1990) Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian (TLC - SummerSlam 2000) L.O.D. vs. The Nasty Boys (SummerSlam 1991) Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. The Two Man Power Trip (The RAW Where HHH tore his quad) Ric Flair & Razor Ramon vs. Macho Man & Mr. Perfect (Survivor Series 1992 where Perfect turned babyface) The Outsiders vs. Sting & Macho Man (Bash at the Beach '96 where Hogan turned heel) |
