I was wondering if anyone else other than me liked the movie version with Jean Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia. I know it got bad reviews and many video game enthusiasts despised it, but to be honest I find it entertaining. I watched it last night and the action is good. The fights were well choreographed. The dialogue wasn't the best, but it wasn't horrible. I thought Raul Julia as Bison was great. He did a great job. The only major problem I had was the casting for Ken Masters, they should have tried to find someone with long blonde hair, but he did well anyway. My favorite of the video game movies is probably the first Mortal Kombat, but this one is not as bad as people think. Now if we're talking about the Legend of Chun-LI (I think that was what it was called), then I agree with you in saying that was horrible.

The movie was awesome.

It had Van Damme therefore it was great.

Subtitles are lame and unfunny, but the message is clear.

Bison needs to be stopped.

Easily one of the greatest lines in cinema history.

Somebody should make this speech when/if we pull out of the Middle East.

That's my favorite quote. I also like the comedy provided by Zangief and one of my favorite scenes is when he has the little knife and the bison troopers move back and Guile starts laughing because he thinks the knife frightens them, when in reality it was the AN troopers that we hadn't seen on camera yet.

If people don't take it seriously then it's a pretty cool movie. It's no 3:10 to Yuma or whatever but I liked it.

Bison trying to seduce Chun-Li is still pretty awesome.

It was a good movie overall. I think the casting should have changed a little bit but other than that no complaints

I would have slept with him

Seeing the hilarity with how the characters turned out, I would have loved to see how they would have had Akuma. His name would've been Genji Akuma and he would've been some kind of terrorist, leaving his symbol after each attack.

I feel like they could have done more with Blanka

Blanka was handled pretty bad. Give him a fight at least.

He also was just a dude painted green if I remember right

Yeah that was a gripe I had with the movie. I liked the storyline of turning Carlos into Blanka (i mean carlos was from brazil anyway). They should have had him fight Zangief. That would have been great, the problem was they made him too human. If they had allowed him to become full savage it would have been better.

People actually think they combined Charlie(a character in the Alpha series with Guiles moves) with Blanka, even though Charlie didn't exist in the SF universe until later.

Sorry but it hurt watching this movie. It was all kinds of awful. Even though it had classic campy values which I could usually enjoy, it still sucked.

It sucked

To hate this movie is to have no soul.

It was decent but not a complete failure like Mortal Kombat Annihilation or the Super Mario Bros film. Main problem was them cramming almost all the fighters and not building them up well enough for the film.

Don't care what you say about the rest of the flick, that's just a badass line.

I laughed when Bison said to Sagat "...but I guess you didn't SEE that."

I love this film, and I have said this many times over the years on these boards.

It's cheesy, and at times it's funny coz it's so lame, but overall it is a good flick, and not because it's 'so bad it's funny'. I could easily watch this film over and over.

My favorite part of the movie was at the beginning when they throw a soldier in front of Bison and he says 'you came all this way to fight me solider, nows your chance', and he lunges and Bison and homie SNAPS his neck and says 'pathetic'.

I enjoy the end when they all do the weird pose thing
