When i opened this thread I was excited that there would be someone else who wanted to talk hardcore. That was killed with the plug of your shitty unearth ripoff band.

Kris P Lettus 10-08-2009 05:52 PM

Biohazard is the only Harcore band that matters..

FACT

BigDaddyCool 10-08-2009 05:54 PM

I like Slayer, does that count as metal?

false

The band you posted is not hardcore. By the way, the metalcore trend is over, so you are not up and coming. Pay attention to the mainstream, dude. You need to change your style to tech-death/deathcore to be "up and coming" these days.

I opened this thread hoping to discuss D.R.I. or some shit, but I guess I'll plug my bands too:

Sick of it all is recording another album. So stoked

Buzzkill 10-08-2009 07:15 PM

I'm a fan of good music, so Metallica and Tool I can enjoy, but in general it is a pretty terrible genre.

ron the dial 10-08-2009 08:24 PM

i've been listening to a lot of the black dahlia murder lately. i will not click that link, though.

Miasama?

ron the dial 10-08-2009 08:29 PM

no deflorate the new one. best cd they've put out yet. new lead guitarist. brutal shit.

Danny Electric 10-08-2009 08:35 PM

Still need to listen to that only have Miasama on CD.

ron the dial 10-08-2009 08:40 PM

OH DAMN get Nocturnal, too, which is the one before the new one. and if you don't have Unhallowed (their first one), get that. Miasma is my least favorite, which isn't saying much since i love everything they've done.

Danny Electric 10-08-2009 08:47 PM

That's why I need to get my computer working again, so I can download some new stuff.
Their playing here soon actually.

you all have your own opinions man, but Tech-Death and Deathcore is just anothing passing trend as well. I agree tho, they're not as original as they should be, but those dudes put on a damn good show.

thecc 10-08-2009 10:52 PM

Cuz that metalcore thing is still going strong. People still love Limp Bizkit too.

Protest the hero is garbage

OssMan 10-09-2009 12:49 PM

I try not to listen to this type of music but I have been at some random shows in a backyard where a bunch of people go into a shed and some "hardcore" bands play. The music is terrible but it is the most absurd thing ever to me.

Buzzkill 10-09-2009 12:55 PM

"Protest the Hero" might be the gayest band name I have ever heard.

I'm actually getting physically upset thinking about it

Buzzkill 10-09-2009 12:55 PM

Does it have an exclamation point at the end? That would top it off

I got to see madball a few years ago. Kill your idols and death before dishonor (back when they were still edge) opened. It was a pretty rad show.

thecc 10-10-2009 04:53 PM

I went to a fight and a blood for blood show broke out.

blake639raw 10-12-2009 12:44 AM

Yeah, I love some metal, even though admittedly, I haven't really kept up with anything in the scene in the last 5 years or so. I listed to mostly older stuff.

El Vaquero de Infierno 10-12-2009 06:02 AM

Same here. You'd have to go back 7-8 years for the last time I kept up with any new bands appearing. The new stuff all sounds like crap these days. Bring on the Pantera!

Ask Dimebag if he's up for a reunion.

And why the fuck do you assume I listen to the cure? Just because I don't like Rush? Cretin.

Haha. I haven't actually mentioned what I listened to lately. Someone might've mentioned I listen to the Crue, though.

Just curious, what are some bands that you like?
