William Hung to Release Debut Album
Sat Apr 3, 7:32 PM ET

NEW YORK - William Hung, whose spirited version of Ricky Martin (news)'s "She Bangs" got him booted from open auditions for "American Idol," will release his debut album next week.

"Inspiration," in stores Tuesday, includes "She Bangs," along with another Martin hit, "Shake Your Bon-Bon," and a cover of Elton John (news)'s "Rocket Man." There's also a bonus DVD.

Also on Tuesday, Fuse music network will air a half-hour special, "Idol Worship: The William Hung Story," which includes footage of Hung in the studio as he records tracks for "Inspiration."

He'll perform "She Bangs" on NBC's "Tonight" show Thursday and again on the "Today" show Friday, Fuse and Koch Records said.

"I get recognized everywhere. And people will go like, `Oh, heh, that's the guy from `American Idol.' I remember you from the TV,'" the 21-year-old civil engineering student told AP Radio recently.

Hung said he doesn't intend to stay unpolished.

"Oh yeah, that's going to change, of course. I want to get better," he said. Hung plans to take voice training and dance lessons.
All I gotta say is rofl

Whats sad is he doesn't know this is all pretty much poking fun at him, or at least he acts like it :(

Hes going to snap and kill everybody when he finds out that this is pure comedy

If he ever does find out that this is all a joke, he'll probably just deny it and keep singing.

What a waste of plastic, what a waste of time...

I am sure there's some idiot who sits at a desk in some record company who wanted a few bucks...but seriously, this lack of talent? Oh wait, Christina, Britney and several others have contracts....:shifty:

The Outlaw 04-06-2004 09:35 PM

lol this is pure comedy though, everyone knows he is a shitall dancer/singer/everything

I bet some guys are going to buy the album and use it for shits and giggles when they are high haha

It was funny when he was first on American Idol but then after that it wasn't funny. I haven't laughed at that guy since I first saw it and it's not because I feel bad for him it's because it's just not funny.

Kane Knight 04-06-2004 09:53 PM

No, it's fu</>cking sad.

Though who could blame someone for riding popularity, whether it's because of talent or a lack of it...

I mean, just look at all these reality shows...How many people are willing to degrade and humiliate themselves for a CHANCE at money?

Will here's actually got a real shot at it now, even if it's gonna end up being a novelty record.

Smitty 04-06-2004 09:56 PM

Yeah it was funny the first time I saw it, but it has gone wicked stale. Just fade away, please.

In an inteview he did for Rolling Stone he said he knew that he was a joke so don't feel bad for him.

John la Rock 04-07-2004 01:02 AM

well he's making money out of all this so it's all good for him

lol at him having a CD

Kris P Lettus 04-07-2004 01:40 AM

There's a little mini article in one of the newest Rolling Stone's that say he knows it's a joke but he doesn't care.. He's just gonna be himself or summat.. And that he loves the oppertunity to actually record an album..

:-\

The Outlaw 04-07-2004 02:43 AM

Tranny 04-07-2004 04:55 AM
