The Mask's music competition *VOTE NOW*

Hello

right now there isn't much new music i like, or at least it appears that way, however i am sure there is stuff i haven't heard of that i would like. so i have decided to create A COMPETITION. I figure there should be prizes of some kind, although i am not sure what at this time. perhaps if the winner is american come the turn of the year you can have my leftover dollars, plus the 20 kalyx owes me. this will be roughly the princely sum of $54 assuming kalyx doesn't flake.

anyway, the rules:

1. you can only post one song per week
2. i have to be able to find the song on spotify, or you have to link it to me via youtube.
3. if i know the song or the band, it won't win because this is about finding me music i haven't heard.
4. i will score it 15pts for my favourite track of the week, 10 for second and 5 for third. whoever is top come new year wins.

perhaps if you guys want to you can play along too and at the end of the week just pick your one favourite song that has been posted (but not your own), the song with the most votes gets a bonus 10 points.

i would probably classify myself as a hard rock fan, like i'm sure an easy way to win this might be to post something tuneful with distorted guitars.

all time favourite bands are probably:

led zep
nirvana
black sabbath
failure
queen

plus i really love biffy clyro this past several months.

HOWEVER. i also like things you might not think i would, like jazz or classical or 80s/very early 90s hip hop. to my eternal shame GTA san andreas even got me into country a little.

it will probably be hard to pick rock stuff i like that i don't already know though.

nah i will get round to sorting this out in a weeks time gents. i am gonna listen to the songs as much as possible between now and next tues, in the hope that they will grow on me and i will be able to give an honest assessment.

I just mentioned Pantera and country because that's the whole Pantera line-up with a legendary country singer David Allan Coe on vocals.
