Hypothetical: Capcom vs. Square-Enix
 

Some guy at SRK posted about this cool idea (and got promptly chewed out, go figure), and I think it's worthy of TPdub's VG Forum yakery. What kind of roster would you want for a game like this? And if this were to happen, they should start with Street Fighter vs Final Fantasy, then make Capcom vs Square-Enix. But let's just jump on the theoretically fucking awesome latter game.

Capcom Side:

Musashi (Brave Fencer Musashi)
Vincent Valentine (FF7 again, if only for the Vincent vs Dante promo art)

Great roster.

This game fails without Tidus to knock around.

Also, you picked from like, four games. Why not just make it Capcom v Final Fantasy and drop the pretense?

I'm not familiar with Star Ocean, Last Remnant, SaGa, and all the others. I would have loved to pool those characters, though. I don't even know who an Angelus is. :(

Why would you pick Advent Children version of Sephiroth which wasn't even really him over the monstrosity that was Safer Sephiroth

Throw in Eve from Parasite Eve and maybe Lenneth

Eve would be cool. I choose Advent Seph for the look. It can go either way.

A lot on the Square-Enix side are armed.

To be fair, I only chose Angelus because I couldn't think of another named SE character that was even remotely tolerable. She's the dragon from Drakengard. Terrible game (You spent unknown time unable to speak...What are your first words when you regain your voice? "I AM CAIM!"), but I've never played msot of those other games either.

Still, it's dumbassery to come up with aroster if you're nto familiar with the roster.

I think Roxas would kick ass.

Khuntri, check out the original thread in SRK. Those fucks never cease to amaze me.

Wouldn't be that crazy of an idea since I believe Square once made a fighter game with their characters (maybe PS1 era). Also Enix characters would be on Square's side so that would bring in Lara Croft and ummm anyone else they ever created.
