Since J.R won't be at Bragging Rights
Who will take over the Smackdown! part of the show? Can we expect the return of Joey Styles or the debut of Jack Korpela?
|
They will go with the three-man squad of Cole, King and Grisham and millions will watch the event on mute.

But you're right about the team.
|
It'll most likely be Striker seeing as he's the Colour Commentator for ECW and SmackDown will be missing there Colour Commentator.
Also, Striker and Grisham worked together before when Grisham was on ECW, so we all know they'll work well together. If Striker doesn't take J.R's place, then the WWE Team are idiots. |
They need JBL.

John Bradshaw Layfield

Fuck it. I'll do it.

Just know that I'm going to make fun of you all night and rip you a new one when you make a mistake.
|
And I'll be promoting my book, Behind the Bell, the entire time.
|
Am I still under contract?
|
That's fine Screech. I'll promote Starcraft: Ghost..... oh wait.
|
I would like King and Matt Striker for Smackdown. King is already doing RAW, and besides JR and Striker he is the only other commentator I really like, though Josh Matthews isn't bad.

The first person to come to mind to call a match at a PPV called Bragging Rights. |

Guru Dave, Ermaximus and I should be added to the poll for consideration.

Won't matter much to me since I won't get to hear the commentary as I'll be there in person, but I voted with my heart for Joey Styles.

I have a feeling it will be a three-man team. If it were up to me, Matt Striker would get the nod, however. He'd bring a certain level of detached emotion to things, as he has no personal stake in SmackDown! winning; he's just doing his job and representing them during commentary. He works well with Grisham, and he technically made his first WWE appearance on SmackDown!.
If they do go for someone outside the company -- JBL would be a very good choice. He actually used to promote SmackDown! as the A-show (because he was on it), and he was brilliant in the booth. I would not complain if he did commentary until JR was mended. The same could be said for Paul Heyman -- former SD! General Manager. One guy that no one has brought up, is Michael Hayes himself. I was never a big fan of his on commentary, but I never really watched Metal religiously, or anything. Hayes would know what he wants to achieve with the SmackDown! brand better than anybody, so he could be a sleeper pick. He'd also seem like a "temp," which makes it easier to replace him when JR is ready to return. I'd much rather see Hayes start on SmackDown!, though, and not on PPV. I just hope they don't get Vickie Guerrero to do it, or anything. |
