Anybody up for it?

Okay so X-box 360 players, are you ready , i said, ARE, YOU, READY!, for the half a dozzen or maybe more people who have the game on Xbox, and to all the TPWWers reading at home... Let's get ready to do some sort of gimick TOURNEYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

we should actually make some sort of short extended round robin type thing, were we qualify to get our spots, depending on the amount of people we can do Bye's and Triple threat, the worst you rank in the short "regular season" the shittier your chances are in the match(for example, the people who would do the worst in the regular season would be stuck with the triple threat, and the person who did best gets a bye, depending on how many people there is), to bad we can't' carry over damage(or can we)...

if that works we can do a full league (Playstation players can do one and Xbox players can do there own, I own both system so I could do a brand Cross over) Have X-Box be the flag ship show, smackdown or raw, and you PS3 guys can be ECW or something and I'll rent it for ps3 and do an invasion on your ass.

seriously is anybody down for atleast a tourney

we get say 9 people we can do it, a short pre-season/play off type thing to figuer out the standing for the tourney, who get's a by and or who has to compete in a triple threat match (making his chances lower, other than that make it kinda like NHL, best ranked regular season against worst rank regular season (or let the top half pick)

feel free to toss in your idea's or even take over if you want.

SvR wasn't always a terribly balanced game to do this sort of thing with...

New year, same game. I've seen the gameplay, the engine's the same. It's not meant to be played tourny wise.

Balance wasn't/isn't a priority in the SvR series. I can explain at length.

Let's just say when you take SvR into a 'play to win' environment, it becomes un-fun in a very short amount of time. lol

Also, the balance issues shouldn't need to be explained. It's obvious.

Main eventers are like 88+. Everyone else is like 85 and lower. Not balanced at all because the WWE isn't balanced at all. It's not a fighting game, it's a wrestling game.

I agree, I was just letting Sov know. Simulations should never be taken as balanced games. This is one of the reasons I'm perplexed at Madden's recognition as a ' tourny competitive' game. It's ludicrous to me. :|

Well if it was a league set up you can have it where the guys at the top have to play as the shit wrestlers where the guys at the bottom get to play as the better ones. You'd get a true leader then anyway with someone who can win against the odds. Maybe not.

I think this should be taken as a 'show' with preset wins (decided amongst the participants) and angles. Half kayfabe, half competitive. Trust me on this.

We can try this with Tekken 6 when it's out on Tuesday, I guess.

A tourny this early? lol Nah. I don't think we have a high Tekken/TPWW ownership going. Me and Khuntri would fucking love it though. Still, I rather something like that happens after a few weeks. Exhibition matches are whatever though.

I haven't played in ages, so I'm definitely rusty. Actually, I have Dark Resurrection so I might trade in my PS2 copy. Can't wait to try out the new guys.

Mackem you in for a match sometime then, I'm not very good and the fact that they changed the controlls makes me just want to play 09...

I'm embarrased I even thought about it...

all in all it's the same game, it's more like an expansion pack, royal rumbles are better now, I always thought they could do something better with 'em, it's a start.

Like I said if they releasd them By-anually it would be more special when a new one comes out. If they do another Legends game I'd hope you can put the legends into Smackdown (instead of putting the Smackdown guys in the legend game, it would be cool if you could do both) but since I doubt they will make another one soon, you should be able to tranfer the legends over to 2010, or atleast release a 40 man legends package for 20bucks or something.

You know you could always just buy them bi-annualy.

...And every year around this time I wish I did buy it by-anually, think about it everytime.
