Lesnar not fighting at 106
Brock Lesnar, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s massive heavyweight titleholder, was forced to withdraw Monday from his highly anticipated Nov. 21 title defense in Las Vegas against Shane Carwin.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the news to Yahoo! Sports. White said Lesnar has been ill for more than three-and-a-half weeks and unable to train. With the bout at UFC 106 less than a month away, Lesnar was forced to postpone the title defense. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slu...yhoo&type=lgns Well this sucks. I was looking forward to seeing Brock fight again. Carwin must be gutted as well, really had an opportunity here. Hope they sort something out soon, as the ppv is a couple of weeks away. I say if possible throw Machida and Shogun on there and settle that mess quickly. |
WHAT THE FUCK
yeah i am all for them throwing shogun machida right back in there. won't happen though.
Wow that sucks for both Lesnar and Carwin. Hopefully they can reschedule for a couple PPVs down the road.
And I would not at all be opposed to seeing them throw machida/shogun II on that card, but I think the chances of that are virtually nonexistent |
Machida/Shogun 2 can't take place. They can't fight for 30 days after an event.
But thats shit about Lesner/Carwin, i was really looking forward to it. |
Swine flu!
thats probably a blessing in disguise... hopefully they can have lesnar/carwin and machida/rua on the same card now
4 way dance??
lol... no make it so that people actually buy a card with machida/rua 2 on it
:y:
Postponed to the Jan 2 card, big moneymaker. Hopefully shogun/Machida 2 in that card

The Lesnar fight has been replaced with Josh Koscheck vs. Anthony Johnson it looks like.
Intriging match up I suppose
though I figured they'd try and get Hughes in or someone of high value like that...guess not
According to wiki Machida/Rua II will also happen on January 2nd.
108 is gonna be mad stacked now tho.
They always try to stack the End/Beginning of the year I think
I think doing it on free television would be a really awesome idea.

Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title-holder Brock Lesnar has mononucleosis and can’t train for at least a month, and perhaps as long as six weeks, UFC president Dana White said Wednesday.
Lesnar was forced to pull out of his title defense against Shane Carwin on Oct. 26, a match slated for UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas, because he was unable to train. At the time, speculation was that Lesnar may have had either flu or a case of H1N1, which is commonly known as swine flu. White had targeted the rescheduled bout for Jan. 2 in Las Vegas as the main event of UFC 108, but that is now also out of the question. Lesnar won’t be able to begin training until sometime in December. White said he is unsure when the Lesnar-Carwin fight will occur or whether Carwin will fight an opponent in the interim. “We’re still trying to figure it out and I’m really not sure where any of it stands right now,” White said. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns |
What a pussy. Man up.
H1N1 sucks
Shogun V Machida II is also off the January card...(not that it was officially on it in the first place)
Lesnar has glandular fever (or mono to you yanks). We may be lucky to see him in a year. I had glandular fever as a young adult and lost a fair bit of muscle and body weight. A man so dependent on his strength could be well fucked.
I am a teacher IN THE REAL WORLD and you will get around 2 kids a year losing the entire school year to glandular fever. Brock might be back in a few months but don't necessarily expect to see him too soon. He will be spending most of his time sleeping at the moment. |
He's actually been privately found to be on lots of drugs.
Brock has the kissing disease.
