WWE SmackDown Taping Results (11/06) *Spoilers*
WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday)
Undertaker opened the show. He cut a promo about Survivor Series. Chris Jericho came out and stated how finally after 10 years they were crossing paths. They got face to face and then it got physical with Taker getting the upper hand. A strong opener for the show! The Rey Mysteiro and Batista video package was shown again. 1. Dolph Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty over John Morrison and Cryme Time. Ziggler hit his finisher on Shad for the win. Morrison appeared to injure his ribs during the very early part of the match and tagged out quickly. Josh Matthews conducted a sit down interview with Rey Mysterio. He spoke about Batista turning his back on him and vowed that Batista will see a side of Rey that he's never seen before. 2. Beth Phoenix over Brittney Carter (New Jersey independent talent Brooke Carter). 3. Drew McIntyre over Jimmy Wang Yang in another squash. Yang took a nasty spill before the bell when he was attacked by McIntyre. He got back up only to be squashed. Batista did a quick backstage interview with Josh Matthews. When they did a close up of Dave's face you could see his lovely nose stud. 4. Rey Mysterio over Mike Knox. A solid match. Rey won with the 619/Splash combo. 5. R-Truth defeated C.M. Punk. R-Truth won thanks to a fast count by referee Scott Armstrong. Punk flipped post match and got on the mic and complained to the crowd. Backstage with Mickie James, Layla, and Michelle McCool. McCool talked down to James, then gave it back to McCool, and also called Layla "Scary Spice." A quick Batista/Hardy recap was shown. A Wrestlemania 26 promo was shown. Matt Hardy was interviewed by Josh Matthews. 6. Matt Hardy over Batista via DQ. Batista dominated the match, but also received the first boring chants of the night. This was kind of a lackluster way to end the night. |
Oh, gee, thanks so much Juan for replacing a thread I had already made with the complete results. How very thoughtful of you.
|
Yours were partial
|
Yes but I updated them to include everything...
|
You didn't update the thread title.
|
I was going to...*SIGH*...if you would have simply been patient with me I would have. But anyway, enough with the quarreling; let's just step aside and open this bad boy to comments as I'm sure was originally intended.

Did they say OFFICIAL Smackdown Taping Results (11/06) *Spoilers*? If not, they're fair game.
|
Interview with Rey Mysterio.
Wow, moanfest. |
I hope that we find out that Dominick is really Batistas child

...and because also nobody really cares, I'm sure. |
I remember when Mike Knox used the be awesome on RAW when he destroyed Rey week after week.
Now, not as much. |
CM Punk loses to R Truth....oh god....i hate to see where WWE Creative is going with him....I see failed booking in the weeks to come....and I was really starting to enjoy Heel Punk as one of the lead guys on Smackdown
|
He's just taking some time away from being the main focus of the show. He'll be back. It makes logical sense, and I've felt like the WWE really wants to build up R-Truth as a star who can move merchandise. And the guy is over, like him or hate him, so why not?
I can see this leading to Batista, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Mike Knox & Drew McIntyre vs. Rey Mysterio, Kane, Matt Hardy, R-Truth & John Morrison at Survivor Series. Or something of the like. |
yeah i think ur right....Batista and CM Punk as Co Captains against Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy as co-captains...cause i think i could see Punk going into a program with Hardy and that being good filler till the RR
|
I still wish they had continued the CM Punk/Matt Hardy instead of doing Punk/Taker so quickly. The Undertaker challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 26 could have actually been really interesting.
Matt Hardy has a reason to go after Punk, as Punk had just sent his brother packing from the company, and in the absence of Jeff, why not build Matt up as a main event star? Especially when he's got a better mind for match construction than Jeff does. |

perhaps we will get a guest appearance by Michael Cole on a episode of Smackdown for when this happens so we can be priveleged to him applying his "Vintage" monicker to this awesome storyline....
|
Vintage Dominick!!!!
|
I wish Classy Freddy Blassie was still around so he could ring Michael Cole by his scrawny neck and call him a "Pencil Neck Geek"

Well, as R-Truth likes to say, sometimes..."The 'Truth' hurts!" |
SAY WHOA!
|
Taker/Jericho should be saved for wrestlemania.

I could see where you might be frustrated, but I think this will lead to Vince siding with CM Punk and making him a bigger star in the office. I mean to me it seems like Punk is bordering on a Bret Hart storyline being "screwed" and what not by upper management and the referees. I think it's going to work out fine in the end. |

I would have rather Kidd or Smith get the win for their team that way it does give HD a little more push than just being on the winning team |
Nah, I like the way they did it. Ziggler going after the IC Title is the main focus here. He needs some momentum. The Hart Dynasty getting any sort of victory over Cryme Tyme is bragging rights for them right now, and things continue along nicely.
