I'm assuming that's from Survivor Series 96? Since it's in the Garden.

Rammsteinmad 11-06-2009 11:27 AM

Maybe Michael's was doing his little flipping up thingy, and they caught a picture at the exact moment?

kareru 11-06-2009 12:22 PM

i didn't know that russo booked in japan

Waylander 11-06-2009 01:51 PM

Well it's pretty clear to me that a Japanese guy is getting multiple Canadian Destroyers hit on him by a blow up doll.

Waylander for the win!

Drakul 11-06-2009 02:02 PM

That promotion seems to have a thing against inflatable dolls. I saw this video a while back and thought it was just a random "comedy" moment but it looks like they wrestle dolls regularly.

Better than Hornswoggle

DaveBrawl 11-06-2009 03:12 PM

Most things are better than Hornswoggle.

thecc 11-06-2009 03:36 PM

DDT have held shows at a carnival and a camping ground.

See, this is what I don't get. People who shit on stuff like Hornswoggle but have no problem with stuff like this.

It's the same type of comedy in an Entertainment-centric promotion. I just don't get the double standard.

Whether you think Hornswoggle isn't as good, whatever, but it's still the same shit.

Guess it's just anything you can find to put down "the E".

Fignuts 11-06-2009 04:28 PM

I'm not terribly against hornswoggle like other people, but saying he is the same as ddt is ridiculous.

Hornswoggle is just typical midget comedy. Been there, seen that.

But I've never seen a blow-up doll beat the crap out of someone till now.

Also, DDT never takes itself seriously and is actually more of a parody of the wrestling industry.

It's a different type of humor really.

Fignuts 11-06-2009 04:32 PM

Also, it's easier to accept DDT's crazy shenanigans, because you know what you're going to get going into it.

Where as WWE takes itself seriously most of the time. Someone will come out and cut a brilliant promo to heat up a fued, and then 2 minutes later a midget comes out and beats the cruiserweight champion.

Xero 11-06-2009 04:40 PM

So if WWE had a ladder win a title, just because it's fresh in the US it would make it good humor?

I'm just saying that this type of humor is expected in WWE to an extent. WWE has never been 100% serious. Maybe the flow is off but this type of stuff has always gone down.

And I disagree it's a different type of humor. It's the same concept, just replacing a jobber midget with a jobber blow up doll.

Fignuts 11-06-2009 05:02 PM

The entire DDT promotion is based almost entirely on comedy wrestling. WWE is not.

Xero 11-06-2009 05:07 PM

WWE is based around entertainment. Comedy falls under that category, and it's always been within WWE.

My best example relating to this: Head - Hardcore Champion.

Fignuts 11-06-2009 05:34 PM

I refuse to have an arguement about blow up dolls and midgets.

Fignuts 11-06-2009 05:35 PM

Again.

Xero 11-06-2009 05:39 PM

We're talking about mannequin heads now.

Blakeamus 11-06-2009 06:06 PM

Isn't there a YouTube vid with someone fighting a steel ladder?

If there is, please don't show it.

CWK 11-06-2009 07:24 PM

Sad that a match with some super-sized wrestling buddy doll vs. a human is getting more of a reaction than most matches on WWE programming right now.

Shadow 11-07-2009 05:19 PM

That was hilarious.

But Hornswoggle is the Cruiserweight champion...

:shifty:

Halbowsky 11-07-2009 09:32 PM

Why do some people in the crowd have face masks on?

Fignuts 11-07-2009 10:26 PM

Why not?

thecc 11-07-2009 10:42 PM

Fig, Have you ever seen 666? I saw some random clips of it and I had no clue about what was going on.

I don't find Hornswoggle funny or creative. I was okay with it when he was the midget that Finley abused.

I find shit in DDT amusing, but I also find it creative. The same way I loved Saturn with Moppy, or Al Snow with Head. Just because a person likes comedy in wrestling doesn't mean he likes ALL comedy in wrestling.

And yes, I think a ladder winning a belt is funnier, better, and more creative then a midget winning a belt.
