Gurren Lagann
 

This anime is one of the most hype shows I've ever seen in my fucking life. Khuntri had me watch a number of episodes but now I'm starting from the beginning. So many moments give me chills, I call them "X" moments - and this show has a ton of them. Anybody else catch this anime?

Made it to about episode 12 of this and haven't watched more for some reason. I love what I've seen of it though, it's remarkably over the top and fun to watch.

Yea. Watched the whole series back in March. Good shit. Plus a lot of people are cosplaying it at cons and doing it well.

Looks a bit generic. Almost like those images that are meant to parody anime.

it is seriously one of my faves since I started watching it.

It actually is a bit of a piss take, it's been made to be remarkably over the top and ridiculous. It acts as a sort of tribute/piss take to a lot of the super robot/burning passion anime from the past but it still manages to be it's own entity and a damn entertaining one at that.

Its a tribute really. Of course it's totally awsome and features one of the biggest mechas alive. I mean...where else can you get not one but two Galaxy sized mechs duking it out with the power of a Big Bang?

Perhaps you should actually watch the damn thing.

Nah. I only watch anime that has an art style that appeals to me. Whole reason I got into it was because I was involved in art and animation at the time. I don't care for what I've seen so far. Character Art looks a lot like One-Piece, which I fucking hate. Just do not like that style at all.

Also, I don't care for "super robot" anime, with the exception of gundam.

This is one of my favorite animes of all time. You really need to watch this.
