Happy Screwjob Day!

Let us celebrate that faithful November day, back in 1997, when Bret screwed Bret.

:::waits for the inevitable Zen v.W.o., Rob Harvey, and Loose Cannon vs. TPWW feud part 543543534534534 to commence:::

p.s.________You know what's interesting?

The THREE (3) best and most knowledgeable posters on the wrestling forum (Zen v.W.o, Loose Cannon, and Rob Harvey) *all* side with Bret Hart in this never ending issue.

The CyNick and 91 (two of the greatest wrestling posters of all-time on here....posters that no longer post here), were also known for vehemently defending Bret Hart (although not to the extent of Zen and Rob).

So basically - the 5 best posters on TPWW Wrestling Forum history, have all been very pro Bret Hart.

Coincidence? I think not.

p.s.______I think Kane Knight might be yet another guy that was pro Bret Hart, but I'm not sure. I would also be interested in hearing what Noid thinks of the Montreal screwjob.

Heyman 11-09-2009 07:24 PM

Gorgeous Dale Newstead (another brilliant wrestling forum poster....and one of the all-time greats on here), is/was another "pro Bret" guy.

That's "Crash Bang" Newstead to you my good Mr. Heyman.

Bret did not screw Bret. :shifty:

This might actually be a point if depth of wrestling knowledge had any bearing on a question of who did or did not do the right thing.

Favre4Ever 11-09-2009 07:40 PM

As i'm sure you already know, Brett Favre supports his fellow Bret when it comes to laying blame for the screwjob in 1997.

Tazz Dan 11-09-2009 07:41 PM

They both did the wrong thing, yet they both did the right thing. I can't see why everyone argues about it. :-\

Oh that's very funny there. Like Hogan is actually gonna have details about a PPV event that took place in a company he wasn't working for, and had been losing in the ratings war for months. If this had happened on Raw, I'm sure he would have seen it himself. Some people don't have a steel trap memory, and Hogan is probably one of them. But he does seem to know why it happened, other than the fact that Bret was leaving the company.

Londoner 11-09-2009 08:00 PM

And here comes the same old arguments.

Phenomenal 1 11-09-2009 08:01 PM

Hart is a whiney crybaby who couldn't man up that he refused to do business on the company's terms...rather on his.....wasn't his belt and he was on his way out....you shouldn't care who you lose it to and where....bottom line for Bret at that point in his career it was about his Legacy and his Paycheck...not the fans like he would like all of us in the wrestling fan world to claim otherwise.

And all you Hart smarks....don't twist my words. Bret Hart was talented and in his own league at one point in time. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and be credited for the wrestling talent that he has. I have respect for Bret Hart 100% as a wrestling talent. That is where it ends...as a wrestling talent. Bret Hart the business man and Bret Hart the person I have no respect for. When you are leaving a company for a multi million dollar deal that was going to set him for the rest of his life and a man who gave him gainful employment for over 15 years asks him to do one thing, he says no. At some point down the road...Bret lost sight of what the point of this business is about and what the age old tradition is...and that is when you are leaving a company and you are the champion, you JOB to the guy that is lined up to succeed him and you put him over. That is the respectable way to go out. Every other guy in the wrestling business has done it for 40 plus years or more....so what made Bret Hart so different...nothing except that he felt he didn't have to do anything in his own mind.

Hogan didnt do it. He didnt do it for Bret, more importantly.

Testicle 11-09-2009 08:28 PM

Xero, was this neccisary?

Zen v.W.o. 11-09-2009 08:30 PM

xero might say it was necessary.

Phenomenal 1 11-09-2009 08:36 PM

Hogan never put anyone over....any half-witted knucklehead who claims to be a wrestling fan and member of the IWC knows that shit. Hogan was always about the mega-bucks and putting himself over.....but besides Hogan....there may have been rare instances but in general I don't think any of the good ol boys from "back in the day" wouldn't do the respectable thing and the RIGHT thing for that matter and not put someone over on there way out.

Hardly anybody actually commented on the video itself, which I think is hiarlious.

"Bret only has himself to blame to getting pinned at WrestleMania 16"
