WWE SmackDown Taping Results (11/13) *Spoilers*

WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday on MyNetworkTV):

* CM Punk b. R-Truth. The following was announced for later tonight: The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho, John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler and the contract signing to Batista vs. Rey Mysterio for their match at Survivor Series.

* Natalya b. Mickie James with a sharpshooter after Layla & Michelle McCool distracted Mickie.

* Finlay vs. Drew McIntyre ended in a no contest.

* The Rey Mysterio vs. Batista Survivor Series match contract signing is up next. Batista says Mysterio cannot sue him if Dave injures him in the match. Mysterio signs the contract and throws the table used for the contract signing on him.

* WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler ended in a double count out.

* Beth Phoenix b. a local female English worker.

* The filmed an extended brawl between Finlay and McIntyre that resulted in Finlay being escorted to the back by referees. It was announced that next week's show will feature a 2 out of 3 falls match between John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler.

* World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker b. Chris Jericho. Big Show came out and attacked Undertaker as Kane came out and made the save.

Dark Match Main Event:

* World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker b. CM Punk in a Casket Match to retain.

So Punk's still getting WHC title matches even though it's Dark. YAY FOR PUNK!!!

And Kane with the save which creates an interesting situation. I imagine BOD vs. Jerishow next week on SD but what does that leave Kane with after?

Sixx 11-10-2009 09:34 PM

Wow, the face turn for Kane was pretty unexpected.

Emperor Smeat 11-11-2009 03:03 AM

Yeup makes it seem like they might actually have something in store for him in the title scene or at least main event now.

 at Batista saying Rey can't sue him if he beats him up in the match. Sounds too ridiculous when WWE runs an injury angle every few months or so and nobody ever sues the person who caused the injury.

GD 11-11-2009 03:06 AM

They did Chris Jericho versus Taker on Smackdown! :(

Kane is a face again :)

Natalya getting a huge victory

Rammsteinmad 11-11-2009 04:04 AM

So Kane's a face AGAIN? WTF I'm bored with Kane and his rubbish continuity. Nothing seems to make sense anymore.

And also, has there ever been a contract signing take place without any kind of incident?

There's your incident. Maybe tame by contract signing standards but it's there.

Mr. Nerfect 11-11-2009 09:16 AM

That Batista/Mysterio contract signing sounds EXACTLY the way I envisioned it going, which is awesome. SmackDown! is a very logically booked show, and everything on it seems very well done.

SmackDown! made me mark out for Jimmy Wang Yang last week. Jimmy Wang Yang!

I'm hoping that we get The Undertaker & Kane as Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, and Chris Jericho wins the World Heavyweight Title; but I won't hold my breath.

B.O.D. vs. Jerishow, perhaps a "Winner Takes All Championships" match in the future? Just speculation, of course. Hope it doesn't happen as there are way better tag teams to hold the tag belts.

The Jayman 11-11-2009 10:19 AM

I'm also glad Natalya got a huge win

Not if you watched Smackdown two weeks ago.

It makes perfect sense, too. Natalya being helped out by Michelle McCool and Layla, who are facing a team Mickie James is part of at Survivor Series, not only heightens the unity of "Team McCool" at SS, but it also gives Mickie James a more personal reason to be involved.

Schlomey 11-13-2009 10:43 PM

Yet another great smackdown. Kudos Michael Hayes you black hatin' summamabitch.

el bobbo 11-13-2009 11:36 PM

I have to say that watching Smackdown was the highlight of my Friday night (got too fucking crazy/drunk last night and had to stay in tonight).

t just seems like such a great wrestling show right now. Every program seems to have a purpose. Plus the wrestling is top notch.

I even got excited for the Women's match; Mickie James seems to have toned up a bit in the past few weeks, and Natalya going over with the Sharpshooter was probably one of the very few times I marked out during a girl-girl match.

Even R-Truth seems to be getting some good stuff in with CM Punk, and I hate R-Truth.

Keep it comin' Smackdown.

DaVe 11-14-2009 12:22 AM

Yep, sweet Smackdown. They really need to get on a proper network.

The only problem is that the crowd was so dead. What a pathetic audience the UK put together.

kareru 11-14-2009 12:30 AM

are you guys 'shrooming?

smackdown was shit this week
i was so bored i tried to work out what city it was in by just looking at the crowd and signs

i assumed it was london because of the landmarks they were showing

but still

B show London - capital city

A show Sheffield - UK version of Alabama

WTF?

kareru 11-14-2009 12:50 AM

i just found out that smackdown was also in Sheffield.

Sheffeild of course famous for Piccadilly Circus
and the home of the houses of parliament

Juan 11-14-2009 12:53 AM

Kane needs to put the mask back on

addy2hotty 11-15-2009 03:12 PM

Thought Jericho/Taker was a great match, shame they wasted it on a SD.

Funny note about this, on the Sky preview for the show, they advertised the Punk/Taker dark match.

Damian Rey 11-15-2009 08:29 PM

SmackDown was solid. I haven't enjoyed a wrestling show top to bottom like that in quite a while. I'm stoked for the Morrisson/Ziggler best of three falls next Friday.

Yeah, on the info they said the main event was a punk/taker casket match.

I wasn't paying full attention the whole show but liked what i saw, jericho/taker was good as expected, english crowds are so shit/quiet though.

Mr. Nerfect 11-16-2009 06:51 AM

England gave me one of my favourite crowds ever, though, when Christian faced Batista and it essentially started the "Christian getting cheers" thing. They would pop everything he did. Ric Flair had a backstage segment with him that night, and the crowd was going NUTS for it. "Tomko, escort Mr. Flair out of my office..." *massive cheers*

It's pretty much crowds in general. I read this weird-ass report from Dublin, where Sheamus came out and talked trash about Dublin, and how he was glad to get out. The Irish crowd then started chanting "USA!" How embarrassing? It's the kids fucking it up, I reckon.
