Triple Naitch 11-12-2009 10:58 PM

Foley. But to be fair if it weren't for Vader, Foley would not have his famous 1/2 ear.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-12-2009 10:59 PM

Nor his famous amnesia

Jannettyzilla 11-12-2009 11:00 PM

Two of the best, but Foley gets my vote.

Sixx 11-12-2009 11:01 PM

Vader, easily.

Nark Order 11-12-2009 11:17 PM

Alright, this seems more like a final matchup to me here. SHENANIGANS

Tb1 11-12-2009 11:19 PM

Going with Foley on this one.

Nark Order 11-12-2009 11:29 PM

Was really hoping Vader would make it to at least the final round but I have to go Foley here. Foley is one of the best mic men ever and (although it sounds cheesy as hell) is a hardcore icon.

shadowfoxrz 11-12-2009 11:34 PM

Mr Socko :D

Supreme Olajuwon 11-12-2009 11:51 PM

Narc, I gotta be honest with you here. You complain so much that I really just tune it out.

Nark Order 11-12-2009 11:55 PM

I see no complaining of the sort. Just saying you usually don't bring out the big guns like Foley til final round. Quit being sensitive, you big fluffy teddy bear.

Tazz Dan 11-13-2009 12:07 AM

 "big guns like foley"

Tazz Dan 11-13-2009 12:08 AM

Although I did vote for him. :(

Nark Order 11-13-2009 12:10 AM

Huh? Mick Foley is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. How is he not a big gun?

Nark Order 11-13-2009 12:11 AM

"big gun"

Lock Jaw 11-13-2009 12:30 AM

Foley is indeed a "big gun". Its not like Vader was gonna get into the HoF or anything anyways.

Foley gets my vote, as much as I like Vader.

redoneja 11-13-2009 12:47 AM

Really surprised by the results so far. Dunno, never thought of Foley as being that good or anything. Only stuff of his I really enjoyed was his time in ECW and a bit in WCW and WWF.

His popularity at one point in the WWF was unrivaled. Until the Rock's face-turn...ahem.

Emperor Smeat 11-13-2009 03:04 AM

Mick Foley. His impact can basically be sumed up from 3 events : Hell in the Cell against the Undertaker, his 1st title win against the Rock, and the promo "This Is Your Life" with the Rock.

His 1st title win against the Rock probably is the moment that changed the Monday Night Wars around from being close or WCW dominating to the rise of WWF. Didn't help WCW at all giving away the results since it backfired huge on them in the end.

Vader was agile and athletic for a big guy but he didn't have these kind of career defining events similar to Foley's that actually changed the Monday Night Wars.

The Mackem 11-13-2009 05:42 AM

I love Vader but Foley probably has had a lot more impact on the 'big three' than Vader and at crucial times.

WCW he seemed to be on the cusp of greatness but not quite used right

ECW he helped build up the company

He achieve most in WWF/E. The metamorphosis from Mankind to Dude Love to Cactus Jack is unforgetable for me as is his HIAC match with Undertaker. The tag team with funk where they really helped put over the New Age Outlaws. The comedy transition and the use Mr Socko was comedy genius. Being used by Vince McMahon and being given the Hardcore title in the run up to what looked like becomeing world champion only to be turned on. The feud for the title with the Rock and winning it on Raw in a famous Monday Night Wars week. The Rock n sock connection with the This is your life segment. The feud against the McMahon/Helmsley era. Commisioner Foley.

All good memories

Not really interested in his TNA career as such but he's still going and has a successful writing career on the side.

Schlomey 11-13-2009 08:57 AM

Vader is no doubt the better wrestler. If I was voting on a personal favorite or by career achievement I might go with Foley but there is no way that Vader should lose to Mick in a BETTER WRESTLER poll.

BTW I'm Schlomey. Hey.

The Jayman 11-13-2009 09:11 AM

IMO, it's STILL Vader time!!

Schlomey 11-13-2009 09:13 AM

Listen to the Jayman. He knows his shit.

I don't get it, you could have said the same for Muta last round.

XCaliber 11-13-2009 11:51 AM

Bonified stuntman my ass my vote goes to Foley.

Well, there goes Vader's chances at HOF.

CWK 11-14-2009 02:36 AM

Ok,

So Vader beats The Great Muta in the last round by 3 votes. Now Mick Foley is absolutely squashing Vader in votes for this round. Mick Foley was as Ric Flair would say "a glorified stunt man" which he is. He is famous for taking unbelievable bumps. That does not make Mick Foley a "Better Wrestler" than Vader. Vader beats Muta, barely, then Foley is killing Vader. So what alot of you are saying is that Mick Foley is a far better wrestler than The Great Muta........

Alot of you fuckers need to learn the definition of the term "wrestler" and "better wrestler". Muta was one of the best ever. Why Foley is going to advance for being thrown off the top of a cage is beyond me and thats what people will associate with Mick Foley, being thrown off a cage. Not a great match with this wrestler on Wrestlemania, or SummerSlam for instance. This is bullshit.

No you all can get your panties in a wad, I don't give a fuck, but you all know I am making sense and anyone who thinks Foley is a better wrestler than The Great Muta or Vader for that matter started watching wrestling for the first time yesterday.

There is no definition for the better wrestler. Personally, I look at it as better entertainer, and honestly in my opinion, I can safely say I would put zero people over Foley as an entertainer. Foley was a master on the stick, despite his weight, he still put on incredibly entertaining matches, and was universally loved. Was Vader universally loved, or a master on the stick? No. He was a great wrestler, but he is nowhere near where Foley is, and personally, neither is Muta.

USAUSA1 11-14-2009 07:22 AM

Complete set up by a certain person that was upset by the last results, Edge made it but he didn't have to go against freakin Muta and Foley. Vader is better than Edge.

You are a tool.

That is all.

El Fangel 11-14-2009 07:50 AM

Just for future ref, I would vote Taker, Austin, HHH and The Rock over Foley.

That is all.

Crazy Nick 11-14-2009 09:18 AM

I really have to go with Foley on this one, sure Vader is one of the best big men around, but Foley truely sacraficed his body for the fans, doing insane things that no one else would do. So I have to give Foley this one without a doubt.

Gimme a list of Vader's best matches and gimme a list of Mick Foley's best matches. If you put 'em together it's pretty easy to find out who was the better performer. As for The Great Muta, he's clearly one of the greatest of all time, but no one here has seen him enough to realize this. Just a little bit of common sense.
